Perfection update preview!

Hi guys, this is just an excerpt of the chapter that was updated today.

When he got to her office, he pushed open the door, Philip stood up from his desk and tried to stop him but he ignored him and went straight to Lillian’s office, he opened the door once more without knocking.

She was sitting behind her desk, busy on a document, she looked up when the door opened and seeing him, she said to Philip, “it’s alright Philip, you can leave.”

Philip bowed and left and Shane marched towards her desk, she looked back down on the document she was working on earlier, “you know Mr. Lockwood, there is a reason they invented the word called ‘knocking’ and it’s so that people like you can show some basic etiquette.”

Shane smiled, she was using his own words against him, “why are you doing it?”

“Doing what?” She looked up at him.

“Why are you releasing the news about my mother?”

“I don’t know what you are talking about,” she looked down again.

“Don’t lie to me Lillian,” he slammed his hand on the table and even though she flinched, she didn’t make it known, “why are you releasing the fake news?”

Lillian smiled, “how sure are you that they are fake?”

“It has to be fake, my mother will never stoop so low.”

“Ah Shane, what are you, eleven? Shane you are thirty seven for crying out loud, don’t tell me you don’t know when something is real or fake,” with the look in his eyes, she knew he knows the truth but just didn’t want to believe it. Of course, why would he? He loves his mother so much and she took him in when his father abandoned him, she could understand him very well. “Still though, I have nothing to do with the news,” she continued with her work.

“Really, then how come you are so relaxed when everybody in this company is in jeopardy?”

“Do I need to pace around the room before you know I did nothing?” She glanced up at him.

“At least it will show that you care.”

A smile made its way on her lips, “so if I tell you that I care about your mother, you will believe me? Don’t be a fool Shane, caring for your mother is the last thing I will ever do.”

“Then there is no need denying anymore that you are responsible for the news,” he glared at her.

Lillian dropped her pen and stood up, looking him directly in the eyes, she said, “fine, I did it and there will be many more coming.”

“What? You must be out of your mind!”

“No Shane, I am not. You are, you and your useless of a mother are out of your minds.”

“Do not talk about my mother like that!” He slammed his hand once more on the table.

“Or what? Tell me Shane, what are you going to do?” She walked around her desk to meet him, “what exactly can you do? Nothing, you will do nothing.”

“Do not dare me Lillian, don’t dare a frustrated man,” he warned icily.

“Don’t dare a misjudged woman!” She fired back, “don’t dare her capability, don’t dare her on what to do and what not to for she might end up serving it to you on a plate of gold.”

“What the hell are you talking about?”

“You wanted war Shane, you looked me in the eyes and told me that we are in war, well, this is it. This is me giving you war.”
