When I got to my office, there was an envelope on my table. From where it came from, I don't know. So far as it's on my desk, then it's meant for me. When I opened it, the was a flight ticket.

"Paris? What am I going to do in Paris? There was a letter in the envelope. It read:

This is not a fun trip. We need to attend an annual meeting with our major investors. We leave tomorrow.  You are dismissed now. Go home and get read.

This man is a pain in the ass. Well, at least I get to enjoy the beautiful city of Paris even if it's just business. That's how I found myself closing a few hours before my usual time.

"Mummy! I am going to Paris."

I had finished packing a few clothes and toiletries. I went to my mum's room, announcing the reason I am coming to see her before even getting there.

"Listen Anessa, Adele can't know she was adopted no matter what happens. I know she doesn't believe what I told her and I am sure she will ask you about it. No matter what she says, don't tell her that——-"

"I am adopted."

"Adele dear, when did you get home?"

"Tell me the truth, you are not my mum?"

"Adel——"

"Just answer me, am I or am I not your daughter?"
