New Book Coming Soon

Hey guys!

So, as you probably already know, there is a Forbidden Love contest going on at the moment and I thought; why not give it a try? So, here is a sneak peek of the new book that I plan on publishing either today or tomorrow...

“Silly me, I almost forgot why I came!” She singsongs, leaning over the counter to whisper, “Guess who’s back in town; Declan Kelly, your other neighbours’ grandson. He arrived yesterday after working in America for twelve years. You should see the car he drives now - I bet it costs as much as a farm. I heard from Gail who works at the salon that he owns quite a few properties in the States. No wonder playboy Kelly looks like someone straight out of Men’s Health. There are also rumours going about he came back to get married, but I’m almost sure it’s just some casual gossip, pure speculation and assumptions. Otherwise, where is his fiancee? Who’s he marrying, the cows?”

She prattles on and on and on. I hear only half of it for two soul reasons: One, Lilith O’Neil is all gossip and rumours. She enjoys a juicy story for breakfast and lives for the sweet essence of drama for dessert. But secrets, those are her favourite. Lilith deals in secrets like a drug dealer deals in meth. And two, I care not for the Kellys or anything regarding them - even less about the so-called Declan Kelly with his posh car and apparent riches. The world would be a brighter place without the arrogant, ignorant, pompous, braggarts of Kellys.

“Say, when was the last time you saw Declan?” Lilith inquired, those glass-rimmed eyes gleaming with sticky interest. She’s fishing for gossip.

I shrug, “Not since he slapped a glob of honey on my hair and dumped sand on it. I was thirteen and he fifteen.”

“But… that’s -”

“Fifteen years ago, yes.” After that despicable act on his behalf, I swore to hate him always. I had to cut my hair to completely get rid of the mucilaginous chaos he caused. And he laughed - no, he guffawed at the sight of me, dripping with honey and cursing him with my nonexistent ‘witchy magic’. Declan Kelly is just like the rest of them and I was naive enough to think he could ever be different.
