New Chapter for 'if I Tie U Down'
Hi Ink Drinkers,
I just posted chapter three of 'If I Tie U Down'. This book is the opposite of a billionaire romance novel. I know there was this big phase where all the romance novels were about billionaires, but I wasn't really into that. I know I write about men who have money from time to time, but taking the main male character's wealth to the level of a billionaire is a bit much for me. So, Fletch is not that. He's the opposite of that.
When I make my plan for how I want my main male character to go, I choose a single word to represent his character. Fletch's word is flexibility. I wanted to write a man who wasn't hard but still had all kinds of appeal, so Fletch does a few weird things in this book. When I read it back, I giggle and enjoy myself. I want to be there. I want to watch him do the odd things he does. I want to hear his voice as he explains why he thinks the way he does.
I think he shows how comforting and romantic a man could be who has no money. Like the sound of a bell is as precious as a diamond. Like his breath on the back of your neck is as warming as a fur coat. Like his understanding is more valuable than a limitless credit card and all the glamour in the world.
Welcome to my new followers! I hope you enjoy my writing!
