A little extra...
Hello to the readers of Feli and Nix... Bisky Jean here...
I hope you'll find this blog post...
A little extra for you Darlings...
Extra Chapter – The Saturday Couple
Everything is lit. The early morning rays touched all its light could reach, including the soundless flat surface of the concrete floored rooftop.
It was still six in the morning and she purposely got to school early even though there’s no class that’s going to happen. It’s one of the weekly routine she has gone accustomed to. Sitting on the bench, under the shade of a shed made by previous students of Magestix Highschool, Vanessa contented herself with the small romance book in her hand.
It was a book she got from a sale. It was interesting and she got hooked as soon as she read the summary. It was her cup of tea. She flipped through the next page of the chapter.
The scene is getting intense as she is nearing the resolution of the story where the male lead character is making the choice of making the female lead drink the capsule that would make her lose all of her memories because he wanted her to forget all the terrible things that just happened to her. But doing that will also remove all the memories she had with him, which weren’t a lot, but they were precious to him.
However, the male lead wanted the female lead to begin a new life, away from all the dreadful happenings that had occurred. He’s being subjected to the experience of the quote “If you really love her, then let her go.”
She was about to read the next part when the door to the rooftop blasted open. She pouted over the interruption and closed her book. She turned to the panting person by the entrance. He was looking at her with great relief. Slowly, a huge handsome smile formed on his lips as he began walking towards her.
“Sweetiecakes.”
Vanessa rolled her eyes as her heart skipped a beat.
“Mr. Auclair…how’ve you’ve been?”
Instead of answering, he ran towards her and squeezed her in a tight hug.
“Oomph! You’re suffocating me.” She complained.
Vallen only hugged her tighter and she completely understands where he was coming from.
“I’m really, really…REALLY! Sorry about the way I acted to you this week…I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to be a jerk. I love you…I love you…I loooovvvvee you sooo much. You know that right? Macaroon?” Then he squeezed her again.
Vanessa chuckled and tapped his worried back.
“I know, I know…” Then she removed herself from him and held him by the shoulders. And she needed to crane her neck a little for them to see eye to eye because of their height difference.
“We’ve been at it for a year now. I’m used to that jerk side of yours. Besides, you can’t remember anything, that’s why.”
The anxiousness on his face remained. “But still…”
“You have no choice. Forgive yourself already…I did have a lot of fun teasing that amnesia side of yours.”
Finally, his smile was able to return. The coolness of his oceanic eyes combined the raven-like silkiness of his soft-looking hair provided her with enough oxygen to breathe.
Vallen breathes out and relaxed himself.
‘Finally!’ Vanessa rejoiced.
Vallen kissed her forehead and walked to the bench where she sat previously. He bent down and took the book she left there and laid himself on the bench. Fortunately, the bench was long enough that she could still seat on the end part where his head was laying.
He raised his hand upwards and she took the book from him. Vallen shifted a little so he could lay his head on Vanessa’s lap, making himself comfortable.
“Is that the same book you were reading last week?”
“No, this is a different one. I already finished the other.” She opened the book again and continued reading.
“Hey Vanessa…”
“Hmmm?” She answered.
“How long do you think you would last?”
Despite not specifying the details, she can imply what Vallen was referring to.
“I don’t know Vallen. Even I can’t promise that I’ll be able to tolerate you being like that to me. But as of now…I’m able to stand the weekdays you. It’s kind of fun and hurtful at the same time.” She closed the book and come in terms with his worried eyes.
“You’re my nemesis during the weekdays but my boyfriend in the weekends. It’s weird, we both know that, but we love each other and that’s what matters.”
“But I’m scared Honeycakes…of the many unknown future and possibilities. There’s so much what if’s running in my head…
…What if one day, you’ll get sick and tired of doing the same routine? Or what if you ran out of patience because of how I treat you during those days I forget about you? What if you get tired of me? What if one day, I drive you away so much and say something so hurtful that you’ll decide to end everything between us.” He shut his eyes tight, pained by the thoughts he just said. He then rose and sat beside her. The worried expression in him stayed as he turned to look at her. “What if…I completely…forget you?...Forget that I love you…? Vanessa, I don’t want that to ever happen…Please…I’m scared.” He whispered those last three words.
She felt her heart squeeze tight with his tone of pure fear and torture of the uncertain future.
She might not say it…but she’s scared of that possible future too. But she’s not going to let it show. He needs all the assurance he can get. Especially from her, since she’s the one who’s got the key to maintaining this relationship.
Vanessa took her hand on hers and squeezed it a little. A small gesture of assurance.
“Don’t worry, no matter how jerky you might be during those weekdays, no matter how many girls you would stare at…”
Vallen frowned at the second part. She chuckled.
“No matter how unfaithful you might become, I know that you’ll still come back to me on the Saturday and ask for forgiveness, just like you always do.”
“Hey…that’s why I’m scared, because the problem or cause is going to be on me.”
“Don’t worry…” She tapped his leg with their interlaced fingers “…if those things happened…” she chuckled, “…with a huge possibility that they may…”
“Sweetiecakes…” He sets off a warning tone.
Vanessa snickered.
“If that ever happens, I’ll slap you hard and drag you by the ear. And if you did forget about me officially… Then I’ll you something that will jog your memory and bring you back to your senses.”
Vanessa leaned forward to plant a soft kiss of assertion on his forehead…then smiled.
“I won’t forget that we love each other. I’ll do my best…for the both of us.”
He looked at her lovingly as he slowly reached out and delicately slid his fingers on the side of her cheek. She could feel the warmth of his love through his touch.
“But I want to make an effort for us too…” He said.
“You already do…by loving me every weekends…” The intensity in his eyes never failed to make her heart pound so loud. “And those…are already enough for me. So cheer up…will ya?”
He sighed heavily and kissed her softly on her lips. She didn’t move and allowed him to show off his love to her.
“I will…” Then he lets go of her. “Ahhh…” He sighed in contentment. “Now I feel so much better.”
“Wanna go to a movie date?” The idea suddenly popped in Vanessa’s head. “We need to start this date early if we want to savor every minute of the weekend.”
“Wherever your heart desires…” Vallen took her hand as he whispered to the back of her hand. “I shall take you…my sweet princess…”
The corner of Vanessa’s lips rose upwards and rolled her eyes.
“Then movie it is.”
Again thanks for reading Feli and Nix... I've decided to make one last chapter for that story, just a little extra. For fun. I really wanted to write this chapter of Vanessa and Vallen. And I don't know if you're allowed to add another chapter to the story since the contest already ended so I just posted it on this blog (since I'm assuming there's no rule against this...hopefully).
Hope you enjoyed this one.
Have a nice day Darlings...
