Goodbye
Dear readers,
It's my pleasure to meet and know you in this platform. I didn't receive a notification that Booknet will shutdown on June 1, 2023 but the other authors had bid their farewells and I will do so. This will be my farewell and I hope you'll read this letter until end.
The first story that I have published in this platform is Kissing The Wind on May 2021. At that time, I was new to this platform and I didn't have a following. It's a fresh start for me and my first follower in this account was myself lol.
Since the story is my first full-length english novel, I found it hard to continue writing and I stopped updating for months. And I was surprised to read a review from a reader asking who is the hero lol. Since then, I started updating the story until we reached the last chapter on July 2022. After Kissing The Wind, I started translating my other local books and published them on Booknet.
Those stories were contracted by other platforms so I was not suppose to publish them for free but I want my readers to read them so I compromised. Now that Booknet is shutting down, I had taken down the free chapters because those chapters were there for months and I think that it's time to take them back.
Alas, we haven't interacted for that long but I'm forced to bid my goodbye. It's sad because I really like Booknet. This is the platform where I had met and known you.
As a farewell gift, I published Kissing The Wind's last chapter (Chapter 68) so you can check it out and read it for free in this platform. I know that I only have a number of readers in this platform but I still want to give you this gift because on June 1st, we will change paths and might never get the chance to meet again.
For those who are waiting for Lovers in the Wind (now titled as Arranged Marriage with the Ruthless Young Lord), I will published the story in my ko-fi website. Please click here and subscribe/follow my profile.
For those who want to read the continuation of my three books (Kissing The Wind, Moonlight Serenade, For The Stars Have Sinned), you can read them on other platform. Please click the titles so you'll be redirected to where to read them: For The Stars Have Sinned, Moonlight Serenade, Kissing The Wind.
You can visit my website where I'll published side stories and short stories. Please click here and you'll be redirected to that site.
And lastly, please click here to visit my Facebook page where you can message me through direct message. I'll be waiting for you then!
I hope to see you there and interact with me about my future books and plans. This is not our final goodbye because I'll be waiting for you in my future works!
Thank you very much!
Sincerely,
aranew

Log inI don't think anybody received any warning about Booknet's closing. If you remember the last Valentine's Day contest, they didn't formally announce the winners. I thought that felt fishy. Basically, they started lying low at that time.
And before that, they held a whole lot of contests and promotions, probably hoping to turn things around. Like a do-or-die attempt.
Just be glad you didn't win any of their contests or gain a lot of subscribers. I'm sure it's much tougher for the successful commercial writers here to say goodbye to the platform.
Anyway, c'est la vie.
Phenomenal Pen, I didn't expect things to turn out like this because my fav is Booknet among all other reading apps. Anyway, thank you for your words, bro. :) I wish you the best!
