The reason why she behaves that way is mentioned in the chapters that come later. in a way, she doesn't think much too. So even when she does things to mess with him, she doesn't think about the consequences. And its same case in every thing that she does. Damn that was one hell of a roller coaster. The twist unraveled so sudden that it was almost shocking . Marcus's actions were eventually justified . The ending was complete and beautiful but there should have been atleast one side story (i.e. Emily's) .

I know that I time skipped a lot without much chapters, but I only had these plots in my mind, so I finished it the way I felt comfortable. the main story was focused on blackmail and the rest was bonus.
