Nia Davis hates her life. She has no friends, her alcoholic mother doesn't care about her, and her brother acts like she doesn't exist. And she's struggling financially to pay for her college tuition. She wants to end her misery and when she attempts to end her life, a handsome stranger, billionaire Emron Scott, saves her. Emron makes a proposal to Nia that she can't refuse: he'll pay for her education for one year, only if she pretends to be his girlfriend for a day. But she ends up getting more than what she signed up for. Nia doesn't know what Emron's intentions are but what she does know is that Emron makes her heart flutter and makes her world a little bearable.
And maybe, just maybe, she might have a reason to live after all.
