Emery Kendal

Hi! I'm Emery, I'm a new writer, although I've been writing since I was 8 I have only recently started publishing my work on websites like this about 5 years ago. I do publish on Wattpad but I deleted my work from when I was about 15 and have tried to adopt a more serious tone and leave behind the cringy fanfiction I would write. I will often write Young Adult fiction, as I am a young adult, but they will have sub-genres, such as dystopian or maybe a fairy tale re-write. 

I read a lot of different books and have gotten back into reading lately, as I haven't had time to do so. My favourite books are either Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh or The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I love these books since they have a special place in my heart, for very different reasons. Trainspotting made me laugh more than any book has before, it's dark humour is something I adore, as Welsh does it so well whereas POBAW made me cry much more than any book could have ever done again. I remember sobbing as I read that book, never has anything had such an impact on me. 

I am also heavily into music, especially 90's Indie. This includes Nirvana, Oasis, Blur, Manic Street Preachers. I do also enjoy more modern alternative music such as Palaye Royale and Creeper. I love most types of music, especially classic artists like Elton John, Queen, Bob Marley and of course The Beatles. My favourite band is Palaye Royale, although my favourite album is A Picture Perfect Hollywood Heartbreak by Zach Callison.
