...Welp, hey there.  Welcome to my page, I guess.... Um, about me? Uh -  I'm a chick. But I hate chick flicks. But I love most every other kind of flick. Zombies, action, suspense, horror, kiddo, animation. Sure.  But this is a reading community, so.... I have a few different favorite authors, and I love them all for very different reasons. I love Christopher Paolini and his Inheritance Cycle for the depth and themes he crafted in his world-building. I love JK Rowling for HER world-building and general approachable-ness. I love S. M. Stirling for the way he brings the Wicca religion to life in an alternative reality in his Emberverse books. I love G. R. R. Martin for the depth of his world-building, his unabashed bastardry in killing off anyone we could ever love, and the general premise of years-long winters and summers - It's genius, I tell you! I love J. R. R. Tolkien for setting the bar so high those many years ago, in everything from con-langs to race-creation to epic plot-lining. I love Roseanne Bittner's Mystic Dreamers series for her attention to Lakota culture and spirituality in her historical fiction (I could leave the romance, but hey, to each their own). I LOVE Joseph M. Marshall, III, for his approachable discussions of Lakota ways and life, and for his stories that bring his world to life in mine. I LOVE Russell Means for his unapologetic white-people bashing and calling out the ones who need it bad.  I love my mother. She never finished anything she wrote, but she told us many times that she always wanted to write a series of children's books, about an adventurous frog and his monkey buddy. She never did it, but maybe one day I can, for her. I'm still waiting for her to let me know it's time.  Yeah, she's dead. So?  My two sisters and I, we make dead mom jokes. Mom would have, too. She would have LAUGHED and laughed her way to the kitchen for some popcorn. I swear.    I can never see myself living up the greats who came before. But I have stories to tell.   Most of my stories will be one-shots. I'm not a series writer, per se. I love to read a good trilogy or - heck - septilogy? But I can never write to that length.  I'm a bare-bones kinda chick. I like to let you, my readers, fill in the gaps. Build the world a little more than I did.  I do like that in my own reading. My shelves are filled with books that I wish had done more - but that's okay, because now I can fill the gaps.   Ok, enough heavy. More superficial. I'm autistic. I'm just gonna leave that there. Trust me - it'll show up in a book sometime.  I live in an 8-foot by 12-foot shed. One window. One large door. A doggy door. Two large bookshelves. Almost every inch of wall shelved with various hobbies, books, and DVDs. Four dogs. In the house with me. One armchair - it's theirs, not even mine anymore. I have a horse outside. He's my 900-pound baby. He's five. He's gorgemous.  I have rabbits. I hunt. I garden.  I crochet. I knit. I sew.  I cook. I bake.  I write.    And now I rest.
