I can feel him next to me, my attention is on the viewfinder of my camera, just waiting for the perfect moment to capture the wind through the trees. I hold my breath as I take the shot - perfect. He is still next to me, I look down and see big brown puppy eyes looking back at me, I bend down to pet him and find a collar with a name tag on it “Cerberus.” "Well hello there Cerberus, are you lost?" I look around to see if I can locate his owner but no such luck "Let's get a photo of you and make some Lost and Found posters." I snap a photo of the black puppy and take him with me to my apartment.
After a week of not hearing anything I started to adopt Cerberus as my own, his little bed is next to mine, his food and water bowl is in the kitchen and he even has a spot on the couch. “I have a little secret to tell you pup, and a little magic” I announced to Cerberus as water my lavender on my windowsill “I might be the Goddess of Spring, no big deal” I touch a dead leave on my mint plant and it bounces back to life.
Cerberus seem little bothered with that fact. A hard knock at my door make me drop the water jug splashing little Cerberus. His ears perk up and he went to the door. I open the door slowly keeping the chain on.
“Yes?” He fills the door frame with his broad shoulders and dark mood, he eyes are electric ice blue with jet black hair. He stands proud with his biker boots, leather jacket, denim and white t-shirt.
He just stares at me; I can hear Cerberus in the background moving back to his place on the couch.
“Can I help you?”
“You have my dog.”
“You have my dog and I want him back.”
