“Wake up Ishu it is already past 9”.
“No Maa (MOM) please let me sleep for more 15 minutes pleasseee, I love you so much.. Please let me sleep”.
“You won’t get up right, let me call your papa”.
Rubbing her eyes she sat up with her legs folded and said, “Go on!! As if I am afraid." She said in a mocking tone. "Haha!! I am his Princess and you know he won’t allow you to wake me up’’ over-confidence dripping from voice
A voice boomed around the Bedroom, loud enough to echo but also calm and composed, “Ishika come down quick for breakfast. I am waiting.” Keeping hand on her chest dramatically she said, “Coming papa (DAD)” and stood up from the bad making her way to freshen up.
“Ma, is something wrong” she asked before entering the washroom. Her mother just shrugged and walking towards her she patted her cheeks saying, “Come quick Love. We are waiting” and went on.
Her stomach churned and heart began to race faster due to some unknown reasons. Thinking about what’s wrong with them? Why are the acting weird? First her father called her by her name which is quiet unusual, he does it when something important is to be brought up and now her mother just shrugged her question. She is too sharp. She knew something was fishy but she let it slide this time. Tho!! Whatever it is, she needs to be quick, thinking this she went on.
On the other side her mother was unhappy about the fact she had to hide things from Ishika, for timing tho!! She couldn’t help it, she was speechless .What would she have said that the day she was afraid of has arrived, the bitter truth which she has been carrying in her heart would be revealed, the news which will create havoc in her daughter’s life.
Ishika is 17 year old who will turn 18 in 3 weeks. She is sassy, bold yet innocent and cute. She has been home schooled for safety reasons. She had the capability to stand for herself if wronged. She is all one would need to be happy. She is treated like a princess by her family, we may say she is a spoiled child but knows herself very well. She did not find a need to go against them for home schooling her. She knew her father was a Mafia. He tries to hide it but she is not too innocent to not know. She knows how to play with words and is a rare combination of beauty with brain. Her Hazel eyes are mesmerizing.
Taking a quick bath, doing her business, she dressed up, and went downstairs. As she reached she saw Her Mother and Father were waiting for her to join for Breakfast. She went and sat beside her father and looked around to see where her older brother Rishabh is but he was nowhere to be seen.
Rishabh Lutra is Ishika’s elder brother. A Businessman and Owner of Luck Enterprise and the future King of Golden Mafia.
“Maa, Where is Rishabh Bhai (Brother)? Today is Sunday so he should be Home right?”She asked. “Yes baccha he had a get-together so he went early”. It was strange because Rishabh Bhai would always wish her Morning and go for his work even if he had to leave early morning he would inform her the previous night.
She was busy in her thoughts when her mother asked. “Why haven’t you started? What are you thinking about?”
Her father said, “Ishika, your birthday is in 3 weeks right?”
“Yes, Paa!! It’s my 18th birthday so I want you to throw a grand party. I am so excited.”
Ishika was fond of parties let-it be a small get-together. That was the moment when her cousins Ruhi and Richa would come home. They went to the same school, physically tho!! They would come and tell her school stories and about boys and various stuff. They were her Father's Younger brother's daughters. They were twins. They were her favourite. She was always excited to meet them.
“Yes Yes!! We will” said her Father with enthusiasm.
“You know Pa, I am so excited!!” she said will banging the crockeries in a rhythm happily. “Tomorrow is my result and I will be joining University”.
“Ishu stop banging and hear what am saying”
“I am hearing Papa” and she continued playing.
“Ishu I said hear me out” here father said in a deadly voice.
“OK Cool” and she sat and continued her breakfast.
She was ravishing the dish as in there is no tomorrow. Poha (An Indian dish), it was her favorite. Seeing her settle and endorsed in eating.
Her father said, “YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED IN A MONTH. THE GROOM WILL BE COMING TO MEET YOU AT THE END OF THE WEEK ON THE SAME DAY WE WILL DO THE ENGAGEMENT. BE READY. RUHI TEACH HER SOME HOUSEHOLD WORK. I AM LEAVING, I HAVE SOME WORK IN OFFICE”
