Dry Bones And Words

Cooking breakfast was always a favorite for Misty. And today she was making the most of her time in the kitchen. The bacon was just perfect crisp but not burned, and plenty of it. Tons of toast with tons of butter, and from her years down South a nice pot of steaming grits, with tons of butter. The eggs were scrambled to perfection, which means cooked yet not dry. Misty hated dried out scrambled eggs. The scents filled the air of the house and Misty danced to the song she had playing on YouTube, some Tedeschi Trucks Band always could get a smile out of her. Who cared that she had made enough breakfast for a whole basketball team. She always did things all the way, no need to stop now just because she was on her own.

Make me an angel that flies from Montgom'ry
Make me a poster of an old rodeo
Just give me one thing that I can hold on to
To believe in this living is just a hard way to go
When I was a young girl well, I had me a cowboy
He weren't much to look at, just free rambling man
But that was a long time and no matter how I try
The years just flow by like a broken down dam.
