I've been telling stories since I could I could talk and writing them down since I was about eight. Even though it's been years since I was young adult, I still enjoy reading and writing YA novels the most. It's still the best genre in my book :) Even though I'm old now with two kids, a full time job, a mortgage, and I've tried my hand at different genres, YA will always hold a special place in my heart.
