“What if they were here to get him?” Angry tears blurred her vision once again at his statement.
“What if they had gotten him before I could even save him?” he asked. “Do you know what would have happened then?”
Sorrow washed over her with sadness residing in her wide orbs.
“What would you have done then?” She was shuddering involuntarily.
“Hm?” she could feel the heat of his breath on her. “If they could have murdered him in cold blood like the same way they killed your parents?”
“No,” a whisper left in the wind. “You are not telling me the truth. It..it..it cannot be the truth! T-they were just..just asking..”
