Return of the Dragon God

Chapter 254: Lin Mo Returns

As midnight approached, the surrounding Abyssal Mist grew denser. Lin Mo took out the Zanghua he had collected and exposed it to moonlight to absorb and emit more Abyssal Mist.

After about twenty minutes, Lin Mo sensed that the unsealing of the two elders was nearing its end. He leisurely emerged from his hiding place.

His appearance didn't faze the two old men; they merely glanced at him contemptuously and returned to their previous demeanor. However, Ou Xueying, seeing Lin Mo, was somewhat surprised.

Seeing Ou Xueying's reaction, Lin Mo couldn't help but feel pleased. It seemed that these two old guys still didn't consider him a threat, which made things much easier for him.

The disciples of the Sword Sect, on the other hand, sneered when they saw Lin Mo approaching.

"Hey, this fool actually dared to come back?"

"Kid, your days are numbered."

"Hmph, how did you treat us before? Massages and foot rubs? You're nothing, and yet you made us do all that for you?"

"Don't waste time; let's disable him first."

"..."

These disciples of the Sword Sect were seething with anger, and now they finally had the opportunity to vent their frustration.

"The Holy Maiden promised to spare my life," Lin Mo said.

"Mo Yuan... release him," Ou Xueying, still showing her kind-hearted nature, ordered, even though she couldn't move.

"Hehe, Ou Junior Sister, you're too kind. Sometimes kindness can be our downfall," Mo Yuan replied, clearly reluctant to obey Ou Xueying's command.

"What do you want to do?" Ou Xueying asked, her voice stern.

"After this kid ran away and came back, I suspect he has some intention regarding the Sword Soul. You just said to spare his life, so I'll spare it for now, but... I need to make sure he can't snatch it," Mo Yuan said, preparing to take action.

"Your Highness, he's just an unrelated person. There's no need to be concerned," one of the two elders, who harbored deep resentment towards Lin Mo, tried to persuade Mo Yuan.

Before Ou Xueying could respond, Zhang Lu and the other Sword Sect disciples had already flown towards Lin Mo, each releasing their qi.

Among these ten-plus people, only one was at the Second Stage of Elemental Vein, while the rest were at the Third Stage of Elemental Vein or higher. Their strength was more than sufficient to subdue Lin Mo, or so they thought.

"Do you have the guts to do these tasks?" Lin Mo sneered as he looked around. "Brother Yun... go."

"Don't worry, let me show you how powerful I am," Zhao Yun said confidently. Then, he appeared beside Lin Mo, holding a silver spear and radiating a strong martial soul aura.

"Kid, I remember I smashed your left shoulder. Now, I'll help you remove it," Zhang Lu, one of the stronger disciples at the Fifth Stage of Elemental Vein, taunted as he charged forward.

"Then I'll disable his right leg... No one better interfere!" a tall disciple shouted.

"I'll take his left leg..."

"All the good parts are already taken. I guess I'll have to disable his third leg."

"I want to rip open his chest and stomp on it!" This last comment came from the bold fellow named Ban Luo, who Lin Mo had mocked earlier.

They were all venting their anger, and their words filled the entire square.

At this point, Lin Mo was viewed as a lamb to be slaughtered, and each disciple had assigned themselves a task.

"The Holy Maiden promised to spare my life," Lin Mo said coldly.

"Mo Yuan... release him," Ou Xueying, despite her inability to move, insisted on sparing Lin Mo's life.

"Hehe, Ou Junior Sister, you're too kind. Sometimes kindness can be our downfall," Mo Yuan replied, clearly reluctant to obey Ou Xueying's command.

"What do you want to do?" Ou Xueying asked, her voice stern.

"You have to be alive to do these," Lin Mo said coldly.

While the disciples of the Sword Sect were making their plans, Lin Mo's eyes were sharp, and he said, "Brother Yun... strike."
