Alexander Mashkevich was born a year after the death of Stalin, and came of age at the crossroads of three civilizations: Chinese, Mongolian, and Russian. The combination of his classical-liberal education, deep historical knowledge, pedagogical abilities and practical business acumen allow Mashkevich to critically examine the different civilizations and peoples in the modern world.
