My family has a number of different nationalities/backgrounds mixed together. My brother is half Jamaican, my children are First Nation. For me, as a reader diversity is very important and it is nice to see different heights/complexions mixed.
So many cute things to love in this story so far. As to cancer introduced earlier, I couldn't help but think of Chadwick Boseman, and all he had accomplished while hiding his illness. I hope your MC has a better outcome. I will keep reading to find out.
