Chapter 2: Two years later

Over two years, our love grew stronger and more undeniable. We became inseparable, our connection deepening with each passing day. The bond we shared was clear to everyone in the pack, as we stood as a testament to the power of love. 
Sitting under the shade of a tree, our bodies leaning against the rough bark, I couldn't help but wonder if the pack had truly accepted us. I leaned in closer to Lucas, our legs touching, and whispered my thoughts into the air. His eyes met mine, filled with understanding and reassurance. 
"Of course they have," he responded, his voice carrying a gentle tone. "Our happiness together speaks louder than any doubts. They see the truth in our love."

"Next on the list is the Crescent Moon Pack," the Beta informed me, handing over a stack of envelopes. "Double-check the addresses before sending them out." 
With focused determination, I began writing out the invitations, ensuring that every detail was meticulously taken care of. Thoughts of Lucas's upcoming birthday filled my mind, and I longed for it to be a perfect celebration, a tribute to the love we shared. 
Speaking to the Beta, a radiant smile graced my face. "I can't wait for the party tomorrow," I expressed, feeling the excitement bubbling within me. "It's going to be an incredible celebration." 
The Beta nodded, acknowledging the anticipation in the air. "Indeed, it will be a memorable event. With your help, I'm confident everything will run smoothly." 
Blushing at the praise, I felt a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to such a significant occasion. I continued writing the invitations, each stroke of the pen amplifying the excitement and anticipation within me for the grand day that awaited us. Later that night, in the dimly lit room, Lucas sat on the edge of his bed while I stood by his side. A small smile graced his lips as he voiced his thoughts. "I can't believe I'm turning 25 tomorrow." 
Returning his smile, I nodded in agreement. "It's a significant milestone, marking your full maturity as an Alpha." 
He let out a soft chuckle, but a hint of uncertainty lingered in his words. "Yeah, it's a big step. 
But I can't help but feel uncertain. I haven't found my mate yet." 
Feeling a surge of empathy, I placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry, Lucas. 
Your mate is out there, and destiny will bring you together at the right time." 
His gaze met mine, gratitude mixed with doubt reflected in his eyes. "I hope so. I don't want to disappoint the pack. They expect me to fulfill my duty and produce an heir." 
Squeezing his hand gently, I reassured him with conviction. "You won't let them down, Lucas. You possess exceptional qualities as an Alpha, and when you find your mate, you'll create a future filled with love and strength." 
Appreciation filled his expression as he held my gaze. "Thank you, Maya. Your support means everything to me." 
A warm smile graced my lips, my love for him shining through. "You never have to doubt it, Lucas. I'll always be here for you." 
Lucas tightened his grip on my hand, determination radiating from him. "Maya, I want to make an announcement at the end of my birthday party tomorrow." 
Surprised by his declaration, my eyes widened with curiosity. "What kind of announcement, Lucas?" 
His voice brimming with conviction, he declared, "I want to announce you as my Luna." Joy surged within me, tears of happiness welling up in my eyes. "Lucas, are you sure? I don't want to complicate things for you or the pack." 
He shook his head, his voice filled with tenderness and resolve. "Maya, you're not a complication. You're the greatest blessing in my life, and I want the entire world to know that you belong to me." 

Overwhelmed with love and gratitude, I couldn't contain my smile. "I love you, Lucas." His embrace enveloped me, and he whispered, "I love you too, Maya. I will always protect and cherish you, no matter what." 
However, everything changed at Lucas's 25th birthday party... 
The dimly lit room was filled with the vibrant energy of Lucas's 25th birthday celebration as Alphas and Luna from different packs arrived with their families. Amidst the joyful atmosphere, Lucas and I found ourselves lost in our world of love and intimacy. 
Passionate kisses and stolen moments of intimacy consumed us, momentarily oblivious to the festivities unfolding around us. 
Suddenly, Lucas's movements halted, his expression turning serious. I looked up at him, curiosity and concern intertwined in my gaze. "What's the matter?" I asked, anticipation lacing my voice. 
He took a deep breath, his eyes scanning the room with a hint of unease. "There's something... 
unusual in the air," he responded, his voice steady but filled with underlying caution. My heart quickened, a sense of foreboding creeping over me. "What do you mean?" I inquired, trying to maintain composure despite the rising tension. 
"I'm not sure," Lucas replied, his grip on me tightening as if to shield me from any potential threat. "But we can't leave this room until I figure out what's happening."

However, Lucas abruptly broke away from our embrace, his focus shifting entirely. I watched in astonishment as he swiftly donned his attire and headed toward the door, forgetting about my presence. My eyes widened as his attention fixated on something beyond our sanctuary—a beautiful she-wolf standing just outside.

"Greetings, I am Alpha Lucas. And you must be..." His words trailed off, a mixture of awe and longing coloring his tone. 
Still in shock, the she-wolf struggled to find her voice, her reply quivering with emotion. "Aria. It's an honor to meet you," she said softly. 
At that moment, they stood there, processing the whirlwind of emotions that engulfed them. Lucas took a deep breath, breaking the spell that bound them. 
"I apologize, but I must attend to my duties. I need to introduce you to the rest of the pack," he stated, his gaze remaining fixed on Aria, determination shining in his eyes. 
Aria nodded in understanding, and together, they ventured down the hallway. With each step,a bittersweet realization settled within me—everything had changed in an instant. Alpha Lucas had discovered his true mate in Aria.
