Special report anthology: Pandemic

CLASSES SUSPENDED AT HOGWARTS

The muggle world is not the only one facing the crisis caused by the Coronavirus (Covid-19), the magical world is also on alert after the first appearance of the disease 3 days ago, when a half-witch returning from her vacation in the muggle world brought the disease with her.

Despite the early quarantine the witch was subjected to, the virus quickly spread among all her acquaintances. It is said that the strongest outbreak occurred because the aforementioned witch, Evelyn Tonkys, was celebrating her return with several friends at the famous establishment "The Leaky Cauldron," thus endangering the integrity of all customers at the venue.

It is not yet known how much the virus has spread in the magical world, nor how many infected there are, but due to the situation, some witches and wizards have protested in front of the Ministry of Magic demanding that all contact with the muggle world be closed. Now more than ever, many argue that both worlds should be separated and "mudbloods" should be exiled from the magical world.

On the other hand, many powerful potion-specialized witches and wizards are currently working on a cure for the disease, but so far, there have been no good results. For its part, the Ministry of Magic has ordered various preventive measures, including a mandatory quarantine for all witches and wizards, who must stay in their homes and only leave for emergency reasons. These measures come after various demonstrations, which is why many claim that this decision by the ministry is only to calm the protests and not really to help witches and wizards.

Anyway, the measures have been established and everyone must comply with them, so this morning, the director of the renowned HOGWARTS school of magic and witchcraft, the great Albus Dumbledore, made an official statement suspending all classes taught at the academy until further notice, so all students must return to their homes and take all possible precautions while the situation persists.

Dumbledore has recently expressed his concern about the current crisis and has said that the decision to suspend classes goes beyond the orders of the ministry, "it is about keeping each of the students safe," the director explained.

We will keep you informed of what is happening in the magical world and in all other known literary worlds, so follow me to stay informed of all news and publications related to this story "Special Report: Pandemic."
