Elian's Passion

Chapter XV

Norfolk, England, the taxi stops in front of one of the oldest residences in that county, Elián and his companions get out, knock on the door, the Alpha speaks in Celtic, the doors open wide. They enter halfway there and are greeted by the owner of the place, a tall and stocky redhead, who at one time was described by Dio Cassius, "possessed an intelligence greater than that generally possessed by women." The redhead possessed a beautiful face, however, it reflected anger, resentment, rage. Although she welcomed Elián, she also held a lot of resentment toward him.

Year 60 AD

Rome ruled over much of the known world from Africa to southern England, where the Romans faced the fury of an offended queen, Queen Boudicca.

When her husband Prasutagus died, the Romans did not respect her laws and annexed the Iceni kingdom instead of letting her rule, the Romans began their abuses, they violated her two daughters, this made her rise up against them, starting uprisings throughout the south of England, although it made a dent in the Roman army and empire, in the battle of Paulerspury where the rebel army would lose to Roman discipline, she was presumed dead, the Romans said that she had poisoned the premises where she was hiding, the truth was that she and her daughter had been seriously injured.

Elian found them on the brink of death, the “young man of 2570” found them, unfortunately for all that night was a full moon, Elian was hunting with his wife, he found them and saw that they could be saved he did not hesitate and so he did, they still had open wounds the blood flowed slowly, he licked the wounds mixing his saliva with the blood when making the mixture of fluids being a full moon he not only healed them but transformed them having to take them to Greece with him until he “calmed” the fury of the three, from the beginning he knew that not one of the three would stay by his side without a doubt the queen was an Alpha natura, her daughters were also ready for action, he let them go he gave them independence, almost immediately he learned of the massacres they committed against the Romans, they returned to their homeland when it was all over, since then they remain the first Lupas of England taking care of their territories, trading with the nomads of the north, undoubtedly killing everything that which smelled of Roman.

If they saved their lives, gave them unparalleled power, and even the ability to die, why did the warrior queen resent him? For prohibiting her from doing things, teaching her rights and obligations. What does that shitty Greek think he is? He really doesn't believe it. He's the heir apparent to Arcadia. It was he and his brothers who implemented the foundations for the "civilization and evolution" of the species, forming councils of justice and writing the laws. She didn't like that, having to submit to their laws. As a final sign of brotherhood, Elian granted her almost total independence, reaching agreements with her; she even accepted certain norms and rules. One hundred years after they were transformed, returning to their lands in 160 AD, they had sporadic contact with him ever since, starting their own pack, but always respecting the Greek, a respect she earned over time, even working together.

For her, seeing Elián and company walking around her property was not a good thing since the end of the Second World War, when they had not seen each other. This means trouble. The visitor arrives at the mansion and is taken to the library, where she has a private collection of antiques. She recognizes the silver crown that her friend Ericsson from Norway once wore. He watches it melancholically, but makes no attempt to touch it.

—You being here only tells me two things: we're going to punish someone or you want my help.

Elian's passion

"I didn't know the crown was yours." He takes it out of the display case and runs his index and middle fingers over the reliefs. "Help, I need your help."

  • Ericsson didn't want to be like us, we respected his decision, he knew he could always count on us, it was the only thing I could get back from our friend.
  • I came late to that battle, it was difficult, you know.
  • I know, even for us, that battle was difficult. So? He gives her a folder with lots of photographs.
  • That is North America, they have not yet crossed into Central America, and I have found similar bodies in my lands, Spain, Rome, Baghdad.

-Asia?

—I haven't had any reports from them yet.

—Are you sure they're one of us?

—Dogs of war. Look up.

"Elián, even that's a big deal to me," he closes the folder. "There must be a mistake. War dogs were extinct."

—Apparently not.

"My lord," those simple words surprised everyone present, even Elian himself. "I suggest the Native Americans fix their problem, and we here in Europe solve the problem."

—I can't leave America without our protection.

—Why not? As far as I know, they're just as capable as we are.

—I'm sure there's more, but I have family there, you know that, — seriously looking at the crown —. Everyone please leave. You too, Artemis.

The queen sits down and invites Elian to sit.

—A drink? It's mead.

—There is my Alpha, although she is human and does not know what I am—he takes the glass she offers—. I marked and mixed blood with her daughter, therefore, she is now my daughter, although my mate has rejected me.

—A broken bond, but a bond is a bond, you must protect your Alpha.

—That's right. For now, she's safe with Dario and Loke.
