Thief of Thoughts

Prologue

First things first.

I am not a thief.

No matter what they tell you. No matter the rumors.

I have never stolen a thing.

See, I don't really believe in stealing. It seems so pointless to steal material things - purses, money, cars - when, in the end, none of that even really matters.

What matters is being remembered. Being successful...famous...adored. That's what a strive for.

Which is why I am Eliza Barnes, CEO of the multi-millionaire company, Barnes and Co., and very much not a kleptomaniac.

But, of course, you're probably wondering: how on Earth could you be so rich and successful at only the ripe age of 18?

And that's why I'm here to tell you.

I'm not really good at telling the truth.
