Its Just Simply Complicated

Prologue and Chapter 1

Prologue

“Really Tori! You never seem to amaze me” She looked at her while playfully moving her eyes “Don’t look at me like that!” “Come on siz” “Oh please…you don’t take things seriously…even someone’s feelings” And whose haven’t I taken seriously?” She said standing up lifting her hands quickly then holding akimbo “You aren’t taking poor Ray seriously…that dude really loves you Tori” She shook her head and went upstairs and her elder sister began yelling “Tori!! Come back here!! Tori” She covered her ears with her both hands and then continued walking saying in a musical way “Blah blah blah!!! I can’t hear you…Nyef nyef nyef!! I can’t hear you!!” “TORI!!...damn I hate this girl!” She said furiously hitting the coach with her foot

Chapter 1

“Tessa please pass me the table cloth” Tori said stretching her hand…seeing no table cloth coming up, she whined like a five-year-old nagging for her pin pop back “Pass me the table cloth na!! my cake is going burn!!” Tessa stood there looking at her smirking widely. Tori frowned and went to the counter to get herself the table cloth and removed the cake from the oven placing it at the kitchen table for it to cool down. Her sister Tessa kept smiling at her as she rolled her eyes towards her “What are you looking at?” “Finally my little arrogant sister is back…ever since you started baking the cake you’ve become someone entirely different and that’s a no no for me…I like the arrogant selfish you baby” “As if you care Tess” “Haha! Of course I care…because I love you so much” She added the latter poking her tummy playfully then asked “Whose cake is it by the way?” “I baked it for Ray’s birthday” She heaved loudly “Poor guy wants me to celebrate it with him alone…so I baked” Tessa got shocked with the statement and spilled out the water she was drinking the said mockingly “Victoria Anderson thought of someone and to top it all used her time to bake” Tori eyed her annoyed and she added taking another sip “Am impressed” “Shut up!” and left to get the stuff for frosting the cake

“Wow Tori the cake was amazing…I loved it…didn’t know you were this talented” He said stretching his hands holding onto hers. Removing her hands under his, said “Mommy taught me how to bake…actually also Tess is an expert in baking too” “So we will be eating cakes in future, right?” He asked sheepishly at which Tori chuckled nervously. Silence prevailed in the table then Ray broke it by saying “Tori may I say something?” “Sure shoot away” “I… *clears throat*…I really like you Tori…” She swallowed hard “…and liking is an understatement…I love you” Tori went completely silent staring at him blinking her eyes wandering how to gently shut him down especially on his birthday “Did he have to pick this day to be heartbroken!?” She thought angrily

“TORI!” He tapped her shoulder and got her out of her thoughts then she said “I really don’t know what to say to you Ray…you’ve come in pretty strong” He ran his hands through his hair then spoke “Sorry…just that after you baking the cake I couldn’t hold in any longer…it means a lot to me Tori” “Your welcome Ray” She smiled sweetly which gave him more courage to keep talking “Tori how about we give it a try…am sure it will work out” “Look Ray…” Seeing he will be turned off quickly said “Let’s have a little faith…and all will be well” He looked into her eyes smiled sadly and even if Tori wanted to say no just couldn’t. The look he gave her made her feel like a monster and thought “No am a selfish little brat…at least what Tess says…so I shouldn’t feel guilty saying yes to someone I don’t love…I’ll date him then later break up with him and he’ll forgive me…because he’s so sweet” She thought smiling then remembered Ray’s presence looking at him he was already smiling at her and said without thinking twice “Okay Ray let’s give it a trial…but if it doesn’t work we go our separate ways” She added the latter realizing what she had just said the former and he said “It will work, and I promise to be the best you ever had” She smiled wandering how he could love her despite knowing how selfish she can be

He drove her back home and she invited him inside to greet her sister. “So birthday boy, how was the cake prepared by our very able chef” Tori looked at her and Ray said “Oh it was more than the best…” He put his arm her waist and pulled her closer leaving a peek on her cheek and Tessa put two and two together “Oh my gosh you’re dating!!” Tori looked away knowing a bowl of dose was on its way and Tessa said uncertain “Am happy for you two…hope you stay happy and faithful to one another” looking at Tori added “and please take care of each other” “We will” Ray said and hugged his girlfriend goodnight then left

Tessa breathed out loudly then said “Why did you do that?” “Do what?” Tori played dumb “You don’t love him…you’ll only break his heart Tori…what the hell is wrong with you?” “Stop shouting Tessa…and besides am sure it’s just a small crush…it will end soon…we break up…and go back to our normal besties self” She scoffed and said “Really Tori! You never seem to amaze me” She looked at her while playfully moving her eyes “Don’t look at me like that!” “Come on siz” “Oh please…you don’t take things seriously…even someone’s feelings” And whose haven’t I taken seriously?” She said standing up lifting her hands quickly then holding akimbo “You aren’t taking poor Ray seriously…that dude really loves you Tori” She shook her head and went upstairs as her elder sister began yelling “Tori!!
