In the majestic kingdom of Imperia, where Dragons rule, the immense Palace, which stands on a floating mountain, witnesses a momentous event: the death of the last Dragon King. A priest announces to the people that the millennial "War of a Thousand Years" has begun. The princes, with their black wings, prepare for a brutal contest where only the last royal survivor will be crowned.

While the war for the throne brews, an ancient enmity resurfaces. The Osarus, feared Dragon Hunters, return to the border of the Dark Lands, which defies draconian laws and where everyone is simply mortal.
