- When we stepped through that door, we started walking down some dimly lit hallways, probably employee entrances. I felt like there was something more to see in that gloomy apartment, but it was getting late, and I needed to focus on finding the girl who was with Isabel; it was the only way to find her. I have to admit; Scarlett makes me uncomfortable. She's like distrust and coldness dressed in red, and I'm also curious about that scarf she's wearing to hide her face. As the minutes passed and the sound of our footsteps echoed, I couldn't stop thinking about everything I'd seen in that house, the fear I'd felt. I turned my head toward her and started to speak.
I need answers to my questions...
—Facis ut cum omnibus? — I asked, and she turned to look at me in a cold manner. —Ego dico, quotiens aliquis ludere hoc curo? — I questioned her. She took a deep breath, she even seemed nervous, something very strange in someone like her.
—Profecto duo tantum et dissimiles tibi fuerunt, ille publice parta, sed non ut eum exiret, et obiter res inusitato modo occurrere potuit, proh dolor, nomen eius numquam novi.— She recounted seriously, looking straight ahead again.
—Cur cubiculum hoc loco est? cum locus ille nonnisi unius familiae esset— I questioned, looking back, remembering everything that happened a while ago.
—Bene...— Something interrupted her.
CLANG!
Suddenly, a loud bang came from the air ducts, but they didn't stop, so I pointed my flashlight at them.
The place was rather gloomy. There were air ducts above us, one of which was making those noises. The walls were gray, like cement, but neglected. I didn't know what could be causing those loud noises, but they weren't a good sign. So, I looked down at Scarlett, and she looked scared. I couldn't see her whole face because of her bangs and headscarf, but her eyes showed fear. It didn't last long, though, because she glared at me and kept walking, leaving me behind. I walked quickly to her side. The place was rather gloomy. There were air ducts above us, one of which was making those noises. The walls were gray, like cement, but neglected. —Tantum scio quod locus iste non sit attineat nos ad hortum Slunce perventurum, sed difficile fieri potest.— She cut herself off, avoiding the topic as she walked, focused on the path.
—Quid est Hortus Slunc?— I asked with interest, without taking my eyes off the road ahead, using my flashlight.
And since when can you have a garden in a building?
Well, I know it's possible, but not on the upper floors.
— Hortus magnus, qui pauci admodum adire possunt, in summo solo est ut plantae normaliter crescant— He illustrated calmly, paused for a second and saw a sign on the wall; it said "Floor 9" —Et ex eo quod video nos prope ad ingressum eius peregrinationis esse, fortasse puella tibi opus est.
—Bene, magno auxilio erit— I whispered, but then I paused for a moment, and I wondered about something.
Will Isabel be alright?
—Scarlett— I called her, she turned to look at me —Isabellam putas esse bene? — I asked sadly, she looked at me surprised, I don't think I told her before what her name was Isa — Hi dies, ex quo discessit, apparuerunt objecta sua in liquore nigro cooperta, et me terret hoc quod illa laesa est— I explained, looking at the ground worried, "I don't want to think about what might have happened to her."
She turned her gaze to the wall for a moment before speaking. —Bene, non potui ibi videre, si quis ante paucos dies advenit, ut tibi dicerem nescio, sed tibi dicere possum, quod de illa narras, hominem bonum esse oportet ad te huc venire.— She explained seriously again, staring into space; I smiled, remembering her—Et aliquid non dixisti mihi, quomodo ad cameras securitatis ante pervenisti?— She mentioned Bellinay and I remembered her; if it weren't for her I wouldn't be here.
—Vides, cum in aulam principalis ingressus sum momento quo perveni, systema securitatis excitatur et me paene occidit.— I recounted that terrifying moment, leaving a bad taste in my mouth.
—Ha! typicam, ideo semper contra istam rationem securitatis fui— She interrupted in annoyance and continued walking without turning around.
I ignored her and continued telling the story —Sed puella venit et me servavit, me adiuvit ad cameras, nescio si eam scis, sed nomen eius est Bellinay.
It seems that as soon as she heard that name she froze, turned around slowly, almost disturbingly, looked me up and down, I was super uncomfortable, then she asked me.
—Esne bene? — She asked in a low, somewhat fearful voice, which only made me uncomfortable.
— Oh yes, you're looking at me right now — I stood out with surprise, now I was the one being mocked, somewhat ironically.
Suddenly, those sounds returned, but they were louder than before, coming from all directions, which alarmed us both. Then, she took my hand and we started running. I lit the way while she led the way, and those sounds were getting closer and closer until, out of nowhere, they stopped, and we were almost at the end. But there was such a loud crash that it made us turn around. The lights in the area began to flicker uncontrollably until they started to explode, accompanied by rapid, heavy footsteps and green lights that looked like eyes.
