Her Journey Begins: The Magical Stones and the Black Dog

Chapter 1: Her Journey Begins

"Creste, I want you to find the four legendary aces before the Durakam arrives" Creste's mother said weakly.

Creste shook his head as her tears continued to flow. She holds her mother's hand tightly as she sees her mother become weaker.

"I'm begging you, please don't leave me. I can't afford to lose you. I still need your guidance so I'm begging you, please don't leave me." Creste's sobs grew louder when she saw her Mother coughing up blood.

Creste's mother smiled and touched her face sweetly. "Don't worry because even if I die, I will still be by your side and you will always be watched over and guided." Creste held his Mother's hand that's holding her face.

"Mother! No! Don't leave me! Mother!"

She hugged her mother tightly until it turned to ashes. "Mother, I promise I will look for four legendary aces" Creste whispered. For the last time, Creste looked at her Mother's bed and at the same time the wind blew its ashes. She just smiled bitterly.

"I have no time to waste, Mother. Tomorrow morning, I will begin my journey and find the four legendary ace."

She has been traveling in the desert for almost five days. And she often fainted due to tiredness. She almost runs out of food and water. But even though she was very tired, she still kept walking because of what she promised to her mother.

Creste's heartbeat suddenly quickened when she saw a house not far from where she was standing. In an instant she lost all the tiredness she felt because of the hope. Creste ran towards the house she saw.

Creste sat on the sand while gasping for breath. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She slowly stood up and smiled. "Anyone's here?" She called loudly, but after a few minutes no one answered. "Is somebody's inside" she called again with a loud knock and as before no answer.

Creste could not help but feel nervous. Creste just backed away. "There's something wrong. It would be better if I just walked away," she whispered.

She just turned around and she was still not far away when suddenly something heavy fell behind her. She immediately turned around and her eyes widened when she saw what it was. A large and wounded dragon.

She backed away because of the fear she felt. She was about to run when she saw that the dragon's whole body suddenly lit up. She just covered her eyes because of the dazzling light. As the light slowly fade, she looked again at where the dragon had fallen. She was surprised that she saw a wounded woman. The dragon is gone. She blinked a few times, but she really only saw a woman and the dragon's gone.

"Help me" the girl pleading weakly.

Even though Creste felt scared, she approached the woman and took off her cloak and tied it to the woman's wound.

"Are you the owner of the house?" She asked her.

She nodded in response.

"I'll help you to get up. Is it okay if we enter your house? You've lost a lot of blood so we need to treat your wound."

"It's okay," the girl replied.

The woman gave the key to her. She quickly opened the door and helped the woman to sit in the chair.

"Is it okay if I interfere with your belongings?"

The girl nodded before it faint. Creste panic when she saw what happened to the woman. She quickly approached and arranged it to lie down.

She hurriedly runs to her kitchen and search for the basin. When she saw it, she filled it with water. The next thing she looked for was towel, but she couldn't find it. She first brought the basin with only water in the living room and placed it on the table next to the chair where the woman was lying.

She looked at the woman before going up to the second floor of the house. She opens every room she passes. She was looking for the woman's room to get clean clothes and towel to wipe her wound as well as what will she use to cover it.

She has already opened almost three rooms. And the last one is the room at last. When she opened it, she saw a large bed in the middle. She went in and searched for the cabinet. When she saw it, she approached and opened it. She chooses clothes that are loose. When she searched, she found a cloth. She took it immediately. When she got everything she needed she hurriedly go down. As she went down, she saw the scissors on the table. She brings it with her.

When she came down, she saw that the woman was still unconscious. She came over and cut off his clothes. She removed the cloak she had tied to the woman's wound. She had already started cleaning the wound. The previously colorless water in basin turned into red. When the wound was cleansed, she saw a large wound. Whatever hit the woman she was sure it was very sharp.

"I don't know that a dragon can turn into human" Creste whispered to herself.

She just shook her head and tied it with the cloth she saw. Creste placed her palm on top of the woman's wound. Her palm lit up. A few many minutes the light disappeared.

"Your wound is too deep. I can't cure this kind of wound. But don't worry because I numb your wound so you won't get hurt if you try to move," she said while looking at the woman who was still unconscious .

"Wait a minute, I'll just cook food so when you wake up you can eat right away," she said before walking towards the kitchen.

She couldn't help but smile as she cooked. But it also disappeared immediately when she remembered her mother again. She closed her eyes and at the same time her tears fall.

How many days have passed since her Mother passed away, but it feels like it happened yesterday. She misses her mother's embrace, the times when she makes a mistake her mother corrects her, the days when they go out, when she's having nightmares her mother hugged her tightly and sung a lullaby just to make her sleep again, and most of all is her smiles. And she knew that she would never see it again or that it would never happen again.
