Reese smiled as she felt the breeze caressed her face. It was supposed to be another normal day that she spent in the garden but Tim's presence made her day special.
She felt something warm in her heart while she was watching Tim's peaceful face. He was sleeping on the bench using her lap as a pillow. A few moments ago, she was brushing his hair using her fingers and then she felt the urge to touch his face.
At first, she tried to gently poke his cheeks. Then she traced his eyebrows. Next, she found herself tracing the bridge of his nose.
He looked so perfect. Like an angel sent for her to teach her how to love. His manly features didn't really match his gentle personality and now that he was sleeping in front of her, he looked vulnerable.
"I love you," she whispered with a smile.
She was surprised when Tim suddenly lifted his head to give her a peck on the lips. He smiled and said, "I love you too."
He sat beside her and guided her head to lean on his chest then put his arm around her. Just like hers, Tim's heartbeat was also fast but it was relaxing. She closed her eyes when she felt his lips on her head.
The happiness she was feeling at the moment felt surreal that it somehow frightened her. She wouldn't know how she would feel if that happiness would be taken from her.
"Reese—" Celine covered her mouth when she saw them.
Reese immediately pushed Tim away and tried to hide her flushed face.
"I told you not to disturb them," Luke said in an annoyed manner while walking closer towards them.
"I didn't mean to interrupt your babe time but we still need to go to class." Celine's lips turned to a grin.
"Of course, we need to go." She held on Celine's arms and immediately walked outside the garden.
"Are you sure you don't want to walk beside him?" Celine's tone was teasing but she decided to ignore it.
"Reese, are you okay? Why are your ears red?" Luke asked with an obvious teasing tone.
"Quit bothering her, Luke." Tim said.
"Then should I bother you instead?" Luke smirked.
"Why don't you just go and get a girlfriend for yourself to bother?" Tim countered.
"No thanks," Luke said with a smug face. "I already have Celine."
"What did you say?" Celine stopped walking and turned to face Luke.
Reese almost laughed when she noticed that her friend's face was bright red.
"I mean, I already have someone that I could bother so I don't need to find a girlfriend, right?" Luke explained.
"Are you misunderstanding something, Line?" Now it was Reese's turn to tease her.
Tim looked at Celine with a teasing grin. "You shouldn't say misleading statements, Luke."
"Whatever. I hope that couples could just go and explode!" After saying those words, Celine ran towards her next class.
"What was that reaction?" Luke said as he watched Celine leaving them behind. The couple just laughed as they both watched Celine's back.
Reese smiled when she turned to face Timothy. She was truly blessed to fall in love with him. No word would be enough to describe the emotions within her that's why she would treasure him. She just wished that her happiness this time wouldn't be temporary.
"Earth to Therese."
She frowned when she felt Tim flicked her forehead. Tim grinned as he took her hand and intertwined their fingers.
"This is scary... This happy moments..." She bit her lips when she blurted those words out. She knew that it wasn't the right thing to say considering the mood but she just couldn't help it.
"You're the only one who's afraid of this kind of moments." She felt Tim held her hands tighter. "You don't have to worry about anything, I'm here with you and I always will."
His words should have brought assurance for her but it didn't. Her worries got worse because she was too afraid to think that there will come a time that Tim would no longer be by her side and she didn't want that.
Tim chuckled and messed her hair. "If you keep on worrying, you'll lose the moment that was meant to be cherished by the both of us."
She managed to smile sweetly and nod. "You're right. I shouldn't worry too much about the future. You are here with me now, that's all that matters."
After class, Reese went to the parking lot where her driver would be waiting but she didn't expect someone to be with her driver.
"I never thought that you'd be this stubborn, Therese." The guy glared at her with disappointment.
"H-Haru... What are you doing here?"
"I went to check on you and this is what I saw." Haru showed her his phone. The screen displayed pictures of her while holding hands with Timothy as they walked towards their class earlier.
"Haru..." She was speechless. She didn't know what to say. She was in panic that she couldn't construct a sound alibi that would satisfy her cousin.
"I don't need any explanation from you, Therese. I know when you're lying so don't even try to come up with excuses." Haru's voice was stern. She knew that he was holding back his anger— not towards her but to Timothy.
"Let's go home now..." She tried to change the subject when she noticed that Haru was looking around as if searching for someone.
"Why don't you introduce me to this friend of yours, Therese?"
It was too late when she turned around to look at the direction where Haru was looking. Timothy was already behind her with a grim look om his face.
"Who are you? What do you need from her?" Haru immediately pulled her behind him before Tim could even touch her hand.
"I am Therese's boyfriend. Who are you?"
Reese bit her lips when she felt Haru's grip on her tighten. "He's my cousin Tim. He is Haru Tsukishima."
Tim's expression soften but his forehead was still wrinkled when he saw how tight Haru was holding Reese.
"You should loosen your grip," he told him.
"Who are you to order me around? You think you're something now that my cousin dates a commoner like you?"
