It's almost dawn in Athens. Cy and Daedalus arrive at the Lycaon villa, where a restless Ramses awaited them, accompanied by Emilia and Jonathan. Cy, dressed in white, arrived impeccably, while Daedalus, dressed in dark tones, arrived. The first to greet her was the eldest, flirting as always. He takes the girl's right hand and places a kiss on the back of its head, another on both cheeks, and pauses for a moment, inhaling her scent.
—Sweet scent of youth, my dear. — She turns tomato red with embarrassment while Jonathan turns red with anger. This amuses the vampire. He lets go of the girl, goes to the blond werewolf, leans back against him, and inhales her scent. The American growls at him. —Learn to control your jealousy. Use it when necessary. She's beautiful. Believe me, few will care that she's yours.
—Don’t bother the children – Ramses said seriously.
—And speaking of jealousy, but nothing can be done when you love,
"Are you a puppy?" Emi closes her eyes as she gives Ramses a passionate kiss.
—You heard Ra, leave the children alone. My lady, I'm afraid I haven't been introduced, Cy son of Lilith—he imitates his brother, kissing the girl's hand—"if you'll excuse us, we must take shelter from Lord Sun."—he offers his arm—"Will you accompany me to your father's library?"—she accepts.
—It's true that damned sun has already risen – he takes the American by the arm – don't say that Americans don't know manners
TRUE?
He forces a smile, offering his opposite arm to Ramses.
— You seem to like being treated like a woman.
—Watch your words or you'll find out about my “ugly” side.
—I think I'm getting to know him now.
—That's not true. Please stop bothering us. They've treated us well.
The five arrive at the library, Cy opening the doors to the passageway and letting Ramses and his brother in. Ramses flirted with both boys again. Emilia gives him a big hug, also hugging Cy, and they close the door. The two of them are left alone in the library.
—Promise that you'll think about what Ramses said. I don't want you to make a decision lightly.
—I promise you— Jonathan extends his arms, she snuggles into him— I love the way you smell.
—Mmm… because you're with me because I'm your boyfriend… mmm, well future boyfriend, now try to get a couple of hours of sleep, to go train you're not going to learn to fight alone, right?
—John! My body hurts! In fact, my hair hurts.
—No complaints, hm? — He stares at the floor, then pushes Emi aside. — Blood? Whose? — He follows the footprints to the entrance of the passageway.
—I hugged them both, I didn't feel anything, I didn't smell anything either. They smell like death, like blood, it must have been someone at their dinner, right? No?
Elian's passion
—That must have been it, poor guy who got in their way.
Come on, my love! Training camp awaits us.
—NOOOOO!
The trio goes down the stairs to the sarcophagus room, all three undress and put on their pajamas, Cy the first to sleep from how tired he arrived, behind him his older brother but not before the couple got rid of their desire to "eat" each other, the passion was mutual, they were careful not to break either the decoration or the coffins when they finished Ramses was still on Daedalus's hips neither of them could calm their breathing, the younger one lies down on the elder's chest, the latter gives him a kiss on the crown of his head.
—We’d better leave tonight, says Daedalus seriously.
—I'm sorry, but I can't—he sits down with his back to the eldest—I have something to do with Elián and Emi.
He positions himself so that he can see Ramses's back. "And I can find out what that's about." He strokes his back.
—I'll tell you when you tell me where you were tonight. That smell isn't characteristic of you and that blood wasn't from food—he points to the floor—"You didn't bring me anything to drink, luckily Dario has reserves."
—It pisses me off that you question me.
—Like me, though, he ended up giving in. That's not very fair.
—I won't talk about my business.
—Then I'll talk to you about mine, now let's sleep, I'm dying of sleep.
—As the lord commands me.
It was not even midday yet, not a cloud on the sunny autumn day, the trees were turning from green to bronze, some were already leafless, the training fields were filled with a few people.
Flocks of different birds can be seen darkening the sky above the village. Darius sniffs the wind, momentarily transforms his face, and howls. The howl echoes throughout the city of Athens, causing several men and women to respond to the call of the youngest. Because it is broad daylight, they cannot climb the discreet walls to defend themselves, so those inside wait from the ground and on the roofs. The flock splits up; one of these fractions plummets, almost reaching the ground, and performing some pirouettes simulating a tornado, spreading a dense fog. The werewolves who can transform do so; those who cannot unsheathe swords, muskets, daggers, whips, spears, maces; some mount as high as they can and prepare crossbows.
Michel, on Darius's orders, takes the young werewolves to the shelters. Jonathan says goodbye to Emilia and gives his complete trust to the British. He has no time for protection, so he just takes a musket and goes with the Germans.
