Some back story about August Young (part 1)
2003
Silence, an utter silence against my felicity was never peaceful. Why are they silent? Had something happened? Why wasn't I given any knowledge on why they're silent?
"How could he be dead?" Mother ried in her weaking voice in side a room I was currently left alone at the inside the hospital corridor, at the first floor beside the entrance of the emergency room. I was clueless, mother drove faster than she ever did. She even passed by the red traffic light as if something was on a rush. "How'd you let this happen!" She yelled again but still, I was left unanswered.
"Cecilia, we did everything we could." A woman repiled with her monotonic voice. "He was lifeless when she arrived here. He was hit by a truck and died from a head injury."
"Bugiarda!" I heard mother yelled as I covered my ears with my tiny hands. "He's not dead! That could be a wrong person!"
As far as I could remember, her yelling was endless. But the only thing I'm sure about was someone died.
"He couldn't be dead , Claudia! That was a wrong person!"
"Cecilia, I think you should go."
"No! Claudia! You're a liar!"
"Go now Cecilia."
Right after their conversation, mom left the emergency room with her bloody long Apricot cardigan.
"What happened?" I questioned as I ran right in front of her. I wrapped my arms around her. I was only five back then and I was completely and utterly clueless on what's currently happening.
Mom didn't hug me back, instead she kneed down to reach my height. She placed her bloody warm hands on my cheeks as she reached the level of me.
"Augusto, I wanted you to pack your bags for tomorrow." She mumbled with her weak voice.
"Why so mother?" I questioned.
She smirked, "We're going to be visiting a friend of mine darling."
