Take Me, Melinoe Update (chapter 24)

Excerpt from Chapter 24:

Third person point of view~

Just when Chris put the cake on the table full of food, Melinoe kissed him on the lips and her friends went on yelling in awe.

"Thank you." she said when their lips parted.

"I'll do everything just to make you happy." he kissed her forehead which makes her friends go louder.

Her friends get back their attention, reminded them that they're still there and some are yelling that the couple could do 'it' later. She then thank them also for celebrating with her.

"It's party time!!" Lauren shouted and they all do their own kind of fun to the beat of the music.

Lauren opened a bottle of whiskey and the drinking spree started. Some eat variety of food from the table while some chitchat with their friends. Most of them went to the 30 x 40 meters and 5 feet swimming pool at the rooftop in that same floor. They didn't swim and just sit on the poolside lounges because they didn't bring their swimsuits with them, they just planned to swim there tomorrow. Chris let Melinoe explore the surroundings of that floor. 

Because the visitors are too many, Chris and Melinoe didn't mind to recognize each of them or who are those who came there to be in the celebration.

The poolside becomes a night disco dance floor because of the party lights moving to the beat of music. 

Melinoe went to the poolside and dance with her friends. Because Chris isn't used in going to parties like this, he just sit there on the side in front of the hallway's entrance and watch his girl enjoy the night.

Melinoe didn't notice that she's getting near to the edge of the pool. Someone pushed her to fall on the water.

All became shocked when she screamed overly loud when she dropped on the water.

She can feel an extreme pain on her skin and feels like her body's melting slowly.

Other friends and blockmates wanted to help her but they're also thinking what might be in the water for Melinoe to be in pain, so they all hesitated and keep themselves away from the pool.

Chris was about to rescue her but Anna surprisingly showed up and speak to all the people there.

"I paid one of your staff to put a lot of salt in this pool's water." Anna said to Chris while the visitors are freezed in confusion of what's going on.
