Lbin

Hello!

I'm LbIN, the author of To The Mars and Earth. I'd like to introduce myself to everyone since i haven't been able to introduce myself properly, i would like to apologize that and for many things too!

Well, I'm quite not to comfortable sharing my name, so it's okay if you called me LbIN! I know it's kind of weird name, but we have definitely have seen all sorts of names in our lives, as myself.

Firstly, I'd like to apologize for my late and slow updates, since i am not being able to adapt well with quarantine that has been affecting me when it came to writing, in addition to studying for university.  Secondly, i would like to apologize for the unnecessary details, and grammaticals mistakes i have been making; to be honest, it has been more than couple of years since the last time i actively wrote, let alone creative writing. So, i'd like for a request from everyone who has been reading my story, or going to read it one day, to openly comment on any kind of grammatical mistakes i have been doing. I'm open to criticism as well!

Lastly, i have been thinking that i should make an introductory chapter at the beginning of the story since there's a lot of details that could get through the flow of the story; i have been noticing that the story has been progressing slowly because of the details i have been writing; For example, describing a city in Mars could take half of the chapter, and i haven't been to let this feeling go away. So you could tell me if it's bothering you when you were reading the story, or not.

Thank you so much as well for reading such story, i have been feeling that it's quite useless, and non-nostalgic story.

Have a good day and night!

1. Welcome! Nice to have new authors around.
2. Don't apologize. We're all in a rut because of this darn lockdown. It happens.
3. Don't make an introductory chapter listing out details for worldbuilding. That's just an info dump and can rip people out of the story in a single second. It's like reading a textbook at that point. If you want to build your world without stopping to explain for pages upon pages what's in it, just view it through the characters' eyes. Make quick notes of what it looks like from the outside. As they're walking through the streets, write what they come across or notice. If they enter a building, quickly describe the building and what's inside. Provide details as the story progresses in a natural way. But keep it brief and fairly barebones to allow your readers a chance to fill in the blanks themselves. Don't go all "Lord of the Rings" on the worldbuilding, but more like Hunger Games. Hope that helps.
