Description of book "Behind The Bars of Your Heart"

I stepped out of the prison doors towards the road of freedom. I should be happy because I had been here for five wretched years. All the pieces of evidence that my fiancee's lover set up to drive me out of her life pointed to me as the murderer.

Little did I know that behind those bars inside the cell, my heart remained trapped.

I stopped and turned to take a final glimpse of the building that had been my home for a long time. My lips twisted into a bitter smile, mocking at life's irony. All because of the truth that I no longer wanted to be free.

Ateee, you never failed to amaze me. This is an amazing story. It really shows reality especially in the justice system. This is one brave work. Congratulations!

Plume Alter, But I honestly don't like the part where the main character , who have became a judge already, gave pardon to Cortez. hehehe. If I were him, I will never do that.

Ayushi Gupta 07.09.2020, 16:30:33

Ayushi Gupta, The ending shows that 10 years later, Charles Mejares becomes a judge. He grants pardon to Jaime Cortez, and thus, he was released from prison, instead of serving 20 to 30 years.

Thank you Author for this very nice story, but it is too short, I think there are more things/ scenes that have to be brought out or wrote.

Elyn Balio Kampilan, thank you so much for reading. I was almost tempted to elaborate this because I am used to writing long novels, even 300 chapters a book.

Anastasia Musa 08.09.2020, 12:44:04
