Ack, what have I just done? - Houston in September
I started writing the Year in Romance series when the idea came to me for a NaNoWriMo project. Initially, I felt that the story would peter out as some of the others I've written had. However, it surprised me with taking on a life of its own.
The storyline itself for Houston In September, or HIS as I'm calling it had been kicking around in my head for a number of months. There are many real elements incorporated into the story, as I took a similar journey with a good friend last year before all the pandemic junk was upon us.
The novel itself is the first in the series (despite its title of being the 9th), I felt that by titling them as they'd come out, it might get a bit murky. As it stands, I now have about 12 novels in various states of progression, some alive only in my head, others drafted, others plotted, while others are finished, but the editing required for them to become more than what they are is extensive.
I commented elsewhere that writers don't improve because they write more, it's because they don't want to bloody well edit the drivel that comes off their fingers. So they're more circumspect with their words.
At any rate, I hope that you enjoy reading my tiny stories.
Cheers,
Sharon
