Tips on how to write blog posts
Dear Authors,
Nothing can be more important for a good writer than being creative and skillful in telling stories. Except for that, we believe that the key to success is communication with the readers. That’s why we’ve got the blogs section on the platform – it exists to make your communication convenient and efficient.
Although some of you make good use of this tool, there are many aspiring authors who are not so confident about how to use it correctly. This little article will fill the gaps.
First of all, before you go ahead and create a post, you need to have a clear understanding of what you’re going to tell. Although you might feel urged to come up with a post about any subject, most of the readers are interested in books rather than in small talks about unrelated matters. So please avoid the latter. The blogs are designed for announcements, requests for feedback on your stories, sharing plans regarding sequels and completely new projects, recommendations to check out books written by other authors, or even some constructive critique of a hot new release. All in all, everything that is related to the literature and Booknet will do.
Please do not share links to your accounts on social media or other sites unless you are conducting a raffle. If this is the case, the link should lead to a specific post with the conditions. Keep in mind that your followers get a notification each time you post in blogs. If you “spam” them with unrelated info they might decide to unfollow you.
The second thing about blogs we would like to point out is that your post does not have to consist only of the text. You can always upload a picture or a GIF as well as you can experiment with formatting and layout. Even such trifle as attaching a hyperlink to the name of your book would be a nice touch. Here you can check how to add a picture to your blog.
Decorating your post requires a bit of time and effort, but at the end of the day it pays off.
The last thing we’ve got is to share a friendly reminder to stick to our Content Rules whenever you post something. Our moderators will have to remove any post or comment that violates the rules.
Good luck with writing both your books and your blog posts! And remember that the motto of Booknet is “read and talk” for a reason!

I added pictures to my books but I was told to remove them for copyright purposes. So what pictures can be added and what not? P.s. there were simple food, clothes and jewellery pics.
Ruslan, Makes sense. Thank you for clearing it :)

I would like to emphasize that you would need to copy the URL of a picture you want to input rather than the URL of the page where this picture is located.

Thea daniels, Click on "create post" on the right menu under "my series". You'd need to use the web version of Booknet to do it.
