Is August older still a minor?

 “Fuck you, I was minor.” I scold him as he handed me a bottle of water.

From the previous chapter of Tears For August (When nobody cares), it was revealed that Agnes Welsh was only sixteen and that was 2 years ago before August' death. It all happened back when Agnes had straightly swallowed the red wine as if she was drinking water‒making her look stupid around August. Once August started laughing at Agnes, he suddenly questioned whether Agnes was drinking or not‒and then she replied that she was a fucking minor. 

    “You’re a minor?” He questioned as his face had slowly draw a grin.  

Now not to make August Young a pedophile but it was sort of clear that August wasn't a minor‒especially on the part where he said that he got his car. (Keep in mind that the legal age of driving your own vechicle is 18-years-old.) And now that it was clear that August Young was no longer a minor then how old is he? 

Augusto "August" Christopher Young was an Italian-American guy who was born in Theramorie at August 19th, 1998. He met Agnes Welsh when he was only 19 and died at the age of 22.
