Hey guys, so I'm already upset I have to do this, but I think it would be more fair to say what's up rather than say nothing at all.
I am REALLY struggling to write up another chapter for The Moon/Share because I'm already unsure where it stands, thus I have nowhere to take it. I went into this story with pure experimental purposes and no outline whatsoever. That's coming back to bite me, lol.
I'd rather not force myself to keep writing if what I'm writing is clearly a result of forced motivation. And the reason I really hate doing this is because this book is the most people have engaged with my writing and it helped with a spike in followers. I had to weigh the pros and cons of this decision, but I think the most respectable thing I can do for my readers is to give them a story they deserve.
I hope it won't be on hold for too long and I totally understand if people are upset about this. I'm also not too happy about it. But I hope I can make up for it with either a good ending or a strong beginning of another work-in-progress I have waiting for you.
Again, I'm super, super, SUPER, sorry about this because I know how frustrating it can be. Hopefully, I can make it up to you. <3 Thanks for understanding.

Log inI used to do the same thing when I lost motivation. But then I never finished what I started. Honestly, sometimes I just push through. I can always go back and edit the CHAPTER later and sometimes I skip ahead to a scene I would old rather write instead to help break me out of my funk. I can honestly say without this site and the readers pushing me, The Arrangement wouldn't have been written, especially in only five months. I just hope you don't find yourself like me, with several abandoned projects which have great potential. Another thing I find helps when I stuck or other Authors come to me stuck is a brainstorm. We throw questions back and forth at each other. And ask well what if. Often this helps point us in the right direction or solidifies the path the story was already on. Just a thought though. I’m still writing, just not this one. It needs more work, more than I thought. Not to mention that with its current direction, there’s no way it’s going to be a stand alone. It’s ending up as a series, against my wishes, so I need to focus on what I cam delay in terms of details, what needs attention/edits, etc. I’ll be back to it, but it does some time.
Honestly, I am really proud that you got this far. I think that you made the right decision to put this on hold. I get it, sometimes I feel like a story isn't going anywhere and I have to shelve it. Although I will miss it, I respect your decision and hope that sometime, you will be able to go back to it. It's too good of a story to end, and I'd love to see how it goes. Just know that I'll be here to read it, whenever you're ready. Thanks for letting us know about this. Stay safe.
