1000 Reads of "Meet Me in the Middle"

It's been a while. Roughly a month? Nearing that timeline perhaps. During that period, we have witnessed the progression of two seemingly opposite people: Oliver and Thea. A rich lad who had the money to buy practically anything in the world that he ever wanted but never had any redeeming traits. A skillful lady who knew the ins and outs of everything and pushes through anything that stood before her but lived in the dark life, unknown and without anyone else. Then we see both of them envying each other: the money that Thea never had and the knowledge, skills, and acknowledgement that Oliver never obtained.

It was the end of the bitter journey of the extremes. A departure from their previous lives of solitude as they acknowledge and learn from each other. As author, I can't help but wonder where the story will go. I, after all, have created them as characters but never leashed them to a stringent story. As they mingle and evolve, they pull us further to places that they want to be and they want us to see--telling a story that may be just what we need to hear in order to move forward in life. Their journey wasn't easy. It was fun.

As a writer (and a new one in this platform), I can't help but feel happy to reach at least 1000 reads. I only have 7 followers (at the moment) and I only have 38 assured readers who have added my book to their library. I am hopeful that these numbers may increase but, nevertheless, thankful for having gone this far.

Oliver and Thea's story might be nearing to an end as all happy moments do. Just as so, another book will open as one is closed just like how one chapter has to end in order to give-way for another. No, this is not a preemption of a series but rather a signal for more stand-alone books. We can't pry into the lives of Oliver and Thea forever but surely we can reminisce their story as we look at others' as well!
