Houston in September - Chapters One to Four Up!

Holy smokes! Houston in September chapters one through four are up!

If you're following along, you'll have seen the multitude of edits I've made, picking out better wording after each read. 

As a new author, I find myself still struggling with the show vs. tell. Often when I'm working on a novel, I find myself spilling word after word onto the page in a jumble, then going days before being able to write again. Yet, I realize that any writer, who truly wants to be an author, needs to treat their work as a job, showing up at it to write daily. 

Sometimes I'm incredibly hard on myself, sometimes I look at thousands of pages and go what a bunch of garbage. Trash it, then start over. If I've published a draft, you might even see some of my thoughts written in line with the piece. I always found that to be interesting about works that I've read. The internal workings of the author's mind as they work out a part of the plot.
