L-let go,” She stuttered as she stared in to his eyes, which were a dark abyss. An abyss she had always dreamt falling endlessly in, during the years they've been apart. But now that she could see them up close, she no longer recognised its owner.

As his grip around her slender neck tightened a little, she felt like her skin was burning. And it wasn't burning in fear, but anticipation. Oh! The times she had craved for his touch were countless. However, the scenarios in her head had been far from the current reality.

“I can't breathe,” She managed the words out of her throat with great discomfort.

“Good,” He had said as he lifted her neck from the angle of her jaw upwards, towards him. “That was exactly how I felt all those years, without you.”

His eyes were momentarily covered in a veil of pain which was replaced by anger and something incomprehensible.

As he neared his face towards hers, his breath fell upon her bare facial skin stinging every place it touched.

There was barely a few millimetres left between their lips, the closest they've been for seven years. Yet, as his face neared forcefully in an attempt to bridge the gap between them, she everted her face from his.

She was startled as he chuckled lightly, the grip around her neck loosened a little, but not enough for her to move away. Her legs had gone numb long ago, since the time she had stood beside him and she was no longer left with any energy to fight back.

He leaned closer, his warm breaths now hitting the nape of her neck. A chill crept down her spine as she struggled to free herself, which was futile.

“I don't care whether you  are married or not,” he paused to take a deep breath in, “I'm going to make you suffer.”
