Marcel Chatelain was born as Marcel Antoine de Chatelain, on September 15, 1704, to Marcella de Chatelain and her lover, the Duke of Bourbon. Although Marcel was born a bastard, his father still gave him a life worthy of a Prince. He grew up headstrong and spoiled by his loving parents, enjoying every right and privilege his father’s name afforded him. He was often seen romancing the ladies in the courts of Louis XIV, his father’s uncle. Sometime in 1729, however, Marcel mysteriously disappeared. On her deathbed, Marcella was heard saying that she was happy her Marcel was now immortal and didn’t have to suffer the indignity of death.
