Excerpt from Chapter 22:

Third person point of view~

"Creature?" 

"Yeah. Look at that." she points her finger to the middle of the lake where the back of the snake can be seen because its swimming round and round under the water.

"Woah." 

She felt that he's a little horrified yet amused of what he had seen.

"Don't be afraid of it. It will not hurt us. It's been living there even before your family bought this place."

The sun is almost hiding its entirety. The sky is gradually swallowed by darkness but the mixture of dingy colors are still visible. Dusk has never been this relishing for Melinoe.

She sits on the left side of the long chair made of bamboo, so Chris sits beside her on the right side.

"This is a really nice place. I wish I could visit here again."

"Why not? What's mine will be yours. I'll share everything that I have with you. If.. you wanna be with me."

Melinoe gave him a slightly shocked yet blissful look. Butterflies in her stomach are again getting wild and slamming each other.

"Why will I don't want to be with you?"

"You know.. I actually like you and you're too adorable to be with. I actually can't believe that you're with--."

"Shut up."

He stopped and waited for her to speak again.

"I like you too." she ravishingly said and made her face closer to his while looking straight into his eyes.

She waited for him to kiss her but he didn't, so she just sit straight and sighed, and poured her attention at the lake. But then he gently grabbed her nape and kisses her on the lips.

At first, he only did a smack followed by light kisses. They look at each other's eyes for a moment and give their full shot of desire.

He wrapped his arms around her waist while she puts her arms over his shoulders.

She thought of a doubt that he maybe using her to forget about Anna but as she reads his mind, she saw his feelings real for her, just pure intentions.
