Hello guys, it's Scarlett. I joined Booknet just a week ago and I've one question. I need your help in deciding my new project.
If I write one futuristic, sci-fi novel, will you give me good response? I saw sci-fi genre section, but readers gave this books very little support.
Please help me to decide, if I should choose this genre or not? Without your response, it'll be waste to give my time on it. I'm giving you little idea about this story. If you think it'll work, I'll publish this book after a week.
The story in my mind is about futuristic world, where technology is very advanced. One company releases new game, called 'GLADIO'. It's a virtual game, were one device gets connected to your head and your consciousness enters this game. Here, things you experience feels very real.
One day, due to some complications, conseciousnees of all players get trapped inside that game. People outside cannot help them by any means. So, to return back, they have to kill the big boss of this game.
Main character is also a gamer inside this virtual world. He is with his 6 friends. They joined their hands to complete this impossible task.
What do you think guys? And also, I'm okay with Girl-boy love relation, but if you want, I can write it as BL.

Log inHello Scarlett, I think it is up to you to just put your story out there. When I first started I didn't know if people would like it. I just made up my mind to put it out there and I am glad I did.
Not only would you have a book you have written, you can publish it on others platform too.
My advice is just to start dear.

Like Miss J said, it’s completely up to you. I for one am intrigued by the premise and if the story ever saw the light of day, I would definitely read it. I agree that sci-fi doesn’t really get any attention, but you never know until you try. It’s totally normal to be nervous about posting your work, but I think it’s worth it. I hope this helps :)
