"Do you really have to report that I asked you to stay?" Tito Dan asked in an annoyed way and crossed our distance. "I told you not to agree with this kind of set up!"
"And what? Stay with you even though you already made it clear that I will never be your priority?"
Even though I wanted to maintain a straight face and keep my cool, I ended up blurting that with bitterness.
He grabbed me by my shoulders. "I might have said that but I still care for you, Sapphire! That would not change nor disappear whatever happens!"
My lips parted as I stared into his eyes that glimmered with sadness and yearning.
