S.E. Saunders Shorts - Historical Fiction

Chapters 1-8

I sat down with an idea in my mind this evening to flesh out a story line which is based on my grandparents. Gran met Grandpa when she was young, she became his babysitter, and things kind of went from there. The real story of their meeting occurred in the 1940s, but I decided to push the timing back a few hundred years, and rework their story with a fictional lean. I was suprised at how easily the story flew off my fingers. I know I've been a bit inconsistent in posting chapters here, but I swear its because I was busy banging my head against the copy line edits, and readying my work for publishing on IngramSpark and KDP. 

This bit of writing though draws on many of my real life experiences. I can see my grandparents old farm in my minds eye as I write. I can feel the chill in the early morning when I used to rise with him to help with some of the less difficult tasks.

Please excuse any typos or sentences which don't seem to make sense, this is a rough draft that Iliterally just sat down and wrote, I have done zero editing (okay, maybe 2-3 minutes of editing).
