Not happy that he threatened her with prison, said vile things to her and pretty much held the priest at gunpoint. So no. He’s nuts. She should have had a happy wedding considering her past. Great book author!
Evilsparklenyc, Agreed. Her first marriage was hell. And this second one; a complete farce. I hope her heart doesn't melt the moment she realizes he really was protecting her.
Honestly? No. I knew he had his own noble intentions which was to protect her. But what he did to her was immensely traumatic. And I don't believe for a second that her "body can betray her", or, "recognises his touch"; after all that he's done to her in the name of revenge? After stripping her of everything; her self-respect and dignity; somehow, her body can betray her? No.
He needs to work way harder and it's hard for me to believe that her heart would melt so easily when it still bears the scars Chris caused. No matter how much our heart feels, our brain cannot forget the trauma; especially when it's emotional.
