The Secrets Hidden In The Scars: Chapter 10

Hey, everybody! Chapter 10 has been added to my book "The Secrets Hidden In The Scars". So, I've published first 10 chapters in almost one month. Time flies very fast... But it's too far from the final of the story. I'm still working on new chapters and publishing them. There will be two more short chapters, and then they will be much longer. So, it means it's going to take much more time to edit a chapter. But... We'll talk about it somehow later...

Anyway, I would be madly happy if you liked this book, added it to your library and told me what you think of the storyline and the characters' actions. I hope you would't lose your interest for my book and would read it until the very end. My English is not perfect, but I'm doing my best to make my texts more or less readable. Play the song Demi Lovato — Heart By Heart, lyrics of which were originally used for the chapter name and go to read it.

Here's a little snippet from one of the parts:

"Terrence, don't get mad at me for what I'm gonna say..." Raquelle slowly steps away from Terrence and looks at him a little hesitantly. "But I thought... What if Natalia and Edward's problems are connected... Connected with threats from these letters?"

"Natalia and Edward?" Terrence asks, looking at Raquelle amazingly. "What do they have to do with?"

"What if their problems and these threats are connected with one another, and something might threaten not only us but also them?"

"Oh, no, no!" Terrence sharply gets up from the bed and turns on Raquelle. "Sorry, Raquelle, but you're crazy. I didn't even think of this stupid thought."

"I don't think it's a stupid thought! Maybe, that's why they're silent about their problems and want to say nothing to us."

"Yeah, tell me they wrote the letters and decided to defeat both of us. No, my darling, it's nonsense! We would've guessed it if we'd recognized the handwriting. But it's not the handwriting of your friend or my brother."

"But, Terrence, why are you categorical? I don't even dare to say they wrote these letters! But what if those two really have to do with all of this?"

"I won't believe Natalia or Edward could do that even if I'm under a gun," Terrence says confidently. "That girl is too kind and sensitive to become a scum, who threatens her friends. And I do know my younger brother wouldn't hurt a fly. I don't even wanna think they have to do with it."

"I don't say it's true!" Raquelle exclaims. "It's just an assumption! So many events couldn't happen at the same time."

Terrence silently looks at the whole room with an indifferent gaze and, exhaling quietly, crosses his arms over the chest.

"Alright, explain why you came up with such a stupid thought," Terrence says quietly.

"First, it's not a secret for us that Natalia and Edward have problems with their relationship, even if they say nothing and pretend it's not true," Raquelle replies confidently. "Second, Natalia has been hiding something from us for a long time. I don't doubt it's very serious, probably has to do with a criminal. Third, the letters say if we know what to do and who to ask, we will know what people surrounding us are hiding. It's a clear hint at the fact that the key to the answer is both of them. And lastly, Natalia and Edward are behaving like they're afraid of something, or someone scared them. Yes, maybe, they really have relationship issues. But something that has to do with threats to us is an addition."
