Cliffhanger Chapter 20. Stalker!!....

Sometime later at the hospital...

"Follow me, gentlemen! You all have to know that she is still unconscious because her body is weak because she didn't eat properly for days and because of the pregnancy which also has an effect!" A nurse tells us while we walk with her to Rachel's room.

"N...nurse what about my baby, our baby?" 

"Ah, you're the father! Well no worries about that sir, for now, the baby is okay and we've put you, wife on liquid food so she gets what she needs and also the baby!"

"Thank you, nurse....but ehm I'm her boyfriend....hopefully one day I'm may call her my wife!" I say looking down afraid of her father's reaction, but surprisingly he stays silent! 

"Here she is sir but doesn't make a fuss she needs rest and peace ok!" So we all nod in understanding as we get inside.

At her we find her mother sitting with a pale face holding Rachel's hand.

"Drake! Come here dear, go sit with her, she needs you right now, more than ever!" Her mom says surprisingly.

"Thank you!" I whisper while I take over her seat and then she turns to me and her husband.

"Drake I have to apologize, we have to apologize to you! I've found a letter next to her body and she did this all because she can't live without you! We are the ones that kept her away from you and I am so sorry for this to happen! We took her love for you for granted! Like it was just something like a crush on her hero that will pass by!.....but she loves you! Till the extent she will take her own life for it, please forgive us we were selfish and didn't think of her and your feelings!" 

"I....i...I need time sorry, what you did was very wrong and it leads to this her almost dead with my baby!! I don't know if I could ever forgive....sorry!" I whisper turning away from her towards Rachel and laying beside her wrapping one arm around her head and the other I place on her big belly rubbing it slowly and closing my eyes.

Sometime later and Rachel's parents are talking softly so as not to disturb Drake who fell asleep on Rachels's shoulder aRachel'shel selo was still unconscious but now still stable.

Later in the evening, they gave us some food to eat and Drake woke up and also eat sitting beside Rachel.

I'm really worried for both of them, this never should have happened in the first place but yeah life sucks sometimes!! 

Rachel's parents left after dinner and I stayed behind with Drake since he was driving with me. 

We are chatting a bit when suddenly we hear one of the machines sounding an alarm in red...

"What's going on??" Drake looks at me and I shake my head as I press the alarm button next to her bed for a nurse to come quick. 

"Rachel? Baby, please wake up!" I hear Drake talking to Rachel but she is not responding and starts to look pale on her face and her lips got blueish!

"Guys out of the way, please!! We need to save them!!" The nurse tells us as we move to the other side of the room looking both shocked. 

Doctors are running in and they inject some fluid inside her and then they bring the pedals out for when someone's heart stops.....and I feel my blood drain out of my face!.....

I look at Drake who's shaking like a leaf with both hands bald in fists.....he's angry, so angry at her parents who pushed her into this!!

"Come on people we are losing them! Come on!" 

We hear a doctor say who's busy checking her vitals and the babies.

"shit this is not good! There is something wrong with her blood I think she has blood poisoning!" 

Another nurse says while grabbing another syringe with a fluid of a different color, she puts it directly into Rachel's arm.

"Why isn't it working??" Drake asks them frustrated pulling his hair. 

"It takes a couple of minutes sir, we can't help with speeding it up we can only give her and that's what we did now her body needs to take the fluid, and hopefully it will help her fight!" 

But then suddenly her heartbeat is slowing down until we all see a flat line----------- 

"Rachel!!!!"

Drake screams in agony!......

Will Drake be able to forgive her parents for this betrail or not??
