The Secrets Hidden In The Scars: Chapter 26

Hiya, everyone! I'm delivering you a new update of my book "The Secrets Hidden In The Scars". You can now read Chapter 26, which I just published. The first part is here, the second part is here, and the third part is here.

Although we're too far from the end of this book, I'm going to tell you a secret. We're only two chapters away from the so-called final epic. But... Let's talk about ut later, and now you can just check this new chapter, in which I (spoiler alert!) reveal some interesting secrets that are connected with one of the characters. Actually, this moment wasn't originally clear in the earlier versions of this book. But when editing the book, I decided what I wanted to do and... Here's the result. I'm personally happy with everything. Though, I can't deny that I could describe something wrongly. I apologize to you for that. A little later, I will check some moments again and try to change them somehow.

Anyway, I would be madly happy if you liked this book, added it to your library and told me what you think of the storyline and the characters' actions. I hope you would't lose your interest for my book and would read it until the very end. My English is not perfect, but I'm doing my best to make my texts more or less readable.

To get a mood for reading, play the song Miley Cyrus — My Heart Beats For Love, the lyrics of which were used for the title of the character. I mean, it was a little longer, but I shortened it in the latest edition.

Here's a little snippet from one of the parts, which will be published within a few days:

"What's happening to you? Why are you so aggressive toward your fiancé? It'd be okay if Terrence gave you a reason and really irritated you. But he does his best to take care of you and protect you from Uncle. That man does know what threatening Natalia might threaten you."

"Sometimes it's very hard for me to hold him down and stop him when he wants to do something in aggression."

"So, the problem is that you're trying to protect me?" Edward opens his eyes widely. "You're holding Terrence down, so he doesn't attack me with fists?"

"No matter how much Terrence doesn't want it, we'll have to be together to save Natalia and ourselves."

"Don't protect me, Raquelle. I will do it and can stand for myself. Don't make your relationship with Terrence worse because of your wish not to let him attack me."

"But I don't want him to do something to you. I don't like fights and believe any problems must be solved verbally, not with fists."

"I know, but it's not worth it." Edward looks at his hands for a few seconds and starts pulling a sleeve of his coat. "Besides, I understand him. Understand why he attacked me and beat me strongly on the day of revealing all the secrets and wanted to kick me out of home yesterday. I insulted his feelings. The way he behaved was quite fine."

"Nevertheless, I should control him. Otherwise, he might make tons of mistakes he will regret later." Raquelle sighs tiredly and slightly shakes her head. "Although I madly love that man, sometimes it's very hard for me to be with him because of his strong aggression. Sometimes he gets so wide that I start fearing him."

"I also feared him when he got enraged. Just one crazy gaze of him made everything inside me turn upside down, and I felt a terrible frost on my body."

"Oh..." Raquelle puts a hand on her forehead and rubs it slightly. "I'm also horrified when he's enraged. At these moments, I may even start to regret agreeing to marry him. Ask myself if this decision is right."

"Sorry, Raquelle, but you're provoking scandals yourself. You shouldn't press on him and remind him of what he did. Whatever that is, and however it happened, you shouldn't start a talk about his past actions. And you shouldn't remind him of his great aggression. I think he does understand he's got a hard character and does his best to fight with it."

"I know, Edward. But sometimes I may not hold myself down. Sometimes he makes me so enraged that I wanna take a plate and crush it against his head. I dunno... There are moments when I can't see Terrence."

"Nobody makes you spend all the time together. If you don't wanna see each other, don't do it. Go to different rooms and stay there 'till you calm down."

"Absolutely everything has lately made me furious," Raquelle confesses. "Terrence may do nothing or just breathe, but I may not take his pretense."

"But why? What don't you like about him? Or the problem is what's happening? Or maybe, do you hide something from him? Don't you want him to know it?"

"I think the problem is the tense situation. I think we all are terribly nervous. First the letters, then the attacks and chases... And now Natalia's kidnapping... Everything layered on one another... And it made everything worse."

"I completely understand the situation is very tense now. But if we want the story to end, we should be together. By reproaching him, you push Terrence off yourself more and more and may lose him as your protector. You can't save yourself if you run into Uncle Michael and his gang."
