The Secrets Hidden In The Scars: Chapter 38
Hiya, everyone! Chapter 38 from my book "The Secrets Hidden In The Scars" is available now. I know you’re literally whining and asking yourself when this crazy author will finally end this work, which is much longer than any soap opera. From which she could obviously delete at least 80% of everything she wrote. But be sure, guys, the end is very, very close! We’re only a few chapters away from it! I’m planning to end this book somewhere in the end of March or the beginning of April. It would be great if I managed to publish the final on the 28th – the day when I started this book. But I can’t say anything. I will be just working and getting ready to work for the next part of this book series (don’t faint, please, I promise I shall end it), which is going to be much more interesting. But I ain’t sure.
Anyway, I'd be madly happy if you liked this book, added it to your library and told me what you think of the storyline and the characters' actions. I hope you would't lose your interest for my book and would read it until the very end. My English is not perfect, but I'm doing my best to make my texts more or less readable.
To get a mood, I suggest you listen to the song Demi Lovato — Got Dynamite, the lyrics from which were used for the original title of this chapter.
And lastly, I’m leaving a short snippet from the new chapter:
“Sorry, Peter…” Daniel shows regret and comes closer to the bed hesitantly. “We’re very sorry about what happened…”
“We didn’t know that was a painful talk to you,” Terrence adds with sadness in his eyes. “You’ve never shown it, and we didn’t think it would hurt you.”
“Very sorry,” Peter throws gloomily. “Though, I’ve hinted at the reluctance to talk about my relationships many times. But you two kept hurting me. At first, Daniel couldn’t get sick of laughing, and then you, Terrence, added fuel to the fire.”
“We’re really sorry, buddy. We recognize that we didn’t hear your plea.”
“We didn’t want to hurt you,” Daniel adds with sadness in his eyes. “That was just a kind joke. That wasn’t so innocent, though.”
“It’s the same as mocking someone that’s not able to have children or suffers from some illness,” Peter replies in a low voice. “Try to think about what they feel when a certain bastard laughs at their infertility or illness. And in this case, a person doesn’t have a chance to become the same as everyone…”
“Of course, that’s terrible,” Terrence agrees. “And we’re really ashamed of letting ourselves joke about such a bad thing for you. Although we don’t know what caused it, every one of us should’ve stopped doing it.”
“Especially, me,” Daniel adds quietly. “I understand I did a disgusting thing and betrayed you partly. Because real friends don’t laugh at your problems and say they joke and wish someone nothing bad.”
“I blame you and Terrence for nothing,” Peter replies without emotions. “You aren’t guilty of my problems, because of which I lost the people that supported me. I messed up everything. And I got what I deserved. Because I shouldn’t have hoped that everything would be gone. I’m guilty of having relationship issues with girls.”
“Peter…” Terrence pronounces with pity in his eyes.
“Don’t think you know everything. Everything is much harder than it seems… I became what I am now against my wish. Life made me the one. Everything’s always been against me. Whatever I do, I meet a failure.”
Have a nice day!
Love, Estrella Rose.
