The Secrets Hidden In The Scars: Chapter 40
Hiya, everyone! It’s March, 8th. So, first of all, I want to say Happy International Women’ Day to all the women and all the girls and wish them all the best. Remember, every one of you is beautiful in your own way. Every one of you deserves love and respect. And I hope you would have the people that can help you feel loved and desired.
So, and I think I will celebrate it in my own way. I’ve just published Chapter 40 from my book «The Secrets Hidden In The Scars». As I said before, in the last chapters, I will be trying to tell you some jokes and let the characters relax after everything they had to overcome. Yes, all of that doesn’t impact the storyline, but if you want something funny (you can’t find it here) and kind, it’s for you. Originally, this chapter was very long, but I divided it. So, the next chapter will be the continuation of this part. And later… I still have to live until «later». But I hope I will do it somehow.
Anyway, I'd be madly happy if you liked this book, added it to your library and told me what you think of the storyline and the characters' actions. I hope you would't lose your interest for my book and would read it until the very end. My English is not perfect, but I'm doing my best to make my texts more or less readable.
To get a mood, I suggest you listen to the song All Time Low — Something’s Gotta Give, the lyrics from which were used for the original title of this chapter.
And lastly, I’m leaving a short snippet from the new chapter:
“Damn, I can't believe it!” Peter exclaims a little louder, starting to walk in circles nervously near the sofa. “Helene, how could you? How could you go too far? I can’t believe you were a part of all of that! It’s okay that the girl went crazy. But why did you the hell dance attendance upon her and poison the lives of the two innocent girls?”
“Please, Peter, don’t be mad at me,” Helene begs with pity in her eyes, coming closer to Peter and looking into his eyes. “I know I did a disgusting thing and was a real coward.”
“But why were you silent about it? We’ve known each other for three years, and I never heard you were one of those, who bullied one person that had nobody to get protection from.”
“I was ashamed to talk about it. Grandma Scarlett and Grandpa Roger tried to change my mind many times and let me know that my actions were disgusting, but I didn’t listen to them. But later, I started to understand that it was wrong. That I shouldn’t have treated the girls that did nothing to me like that.”
“Yeah, where are the guarantees that you wouldn't do that again?” Peter shakes his head. “Damn, did I make the same mistake and start dating a bad girl? That might easily do that to me!”
“No, no, Peter, please, don’t say that,” Helene begs with tears in her eyes full of pity, taking Peter by the shoulders. “I swear on my grandfather Roger’s grave, it will never happen again. And I won’t especially do it to you. Believe me, I’m different now. I’m no longer what I was before. I am the different Helene. I realized all my mistakes and promised myself not to make them again.”
“After what I heard, I started to doubt your honesty.”
“Peter, please!” Helene exclaims with despair a little louder.
Have a nice day!
Love, Estrella Rose.
